Recently I contacted Chef Akad with a request: I wanted to bless my wonderful wife Anne for her birthday – Anne has done all the thinking, shopping and preparing meals for our family and myself all our married life so I asked Chef Akad if he could prepare enough meals for us so that my wife would not have to cook dinners for a whole week. I didn’t know if he would be prepared to do this just for a couple but his enthusiastic response set the scene for what my wife later declared was ‘the best birthday present ever’! Akad came and spent the whole day in our kitchen on the first day of the week preparing meals for the whole week ahead, including plating up and serving a delicious dinner on the first day. We totally enjoyed the day watching his work and chatting throughout. We came to learn a lot about his family, his work and his ambitions and he in turn took great interest in us and our story – it was a really wonderful way to both bless my wife and to meet and appreciate Akad himself and what he offers to his clients – we will look for other opportunities to engage him...

My husband and I hired guepa’s kitchen for our son’s 1st birthday dinner celebration. Wow what an amazing experience it was. The food was delicious, the presentation was outstanding and the timing was perfect. It was an easy process right from booking till the very end. Akad is very friendly and professional to deal with and goes above and beyond to make sure the private chef experience is exceptional. We had lots of good feedback from all our guests. I highly recommend guepa’s kitchen for any occasion and will definitely be using them again...

It was hands down the best meal I’ve had since moving to Melbourne 3 years ago.

I came here expecting amazing food and restaurants and the reality was Akads food and prep far exceeded any restaurant experience we’ve had.

He also plated, presented and explained each meal and was meticulous in his presentation, preparation and cleaning after himself.
