Hairy Hounds is far more than just a business, it's a community. My girl, Millie, started going to day care earlier this year and the beautiful team at HH treat her (and me) like family ❤️. I don't want to name individuals because I'd hate to accidentally leave someone out, and because everybody there works so hard to create a fun, safe and enriching space for the doggos. On the days Millie goes to HH she comes home and conks out for the rest of the night, so exhausted from a big day of fun. In the mornings, she drags me from the car into HH, with uncontainable excitement! The carers take photos of the dogs throughout the day and post them on FB so you can see how happy they are. These loving people get to know the dogs SO well. They know their personalities, their quirks, who they play best with and how to make them pose for the best group shots 😄 HH also celebrate birthdays and other milestones and do fun days throughout the year with dress ups and photos, it's simply adorable! Millie has experienced a series of health issues lately and HH has been reaching out with concern for both Millie and myself. I just cannot say how far above and beyond they go, and its obviously driven by a genuine love for the dogs they work with each day. Once the carers know your dog there's also options to ask for overnight stays with carers. It is so comforting knowing that you're leaving your beloved furry family member with somebody who already knows them so well and your dog knows them too. Hairy Hounds are hands down the best thing to come into our lives this year! Thank you,...
Read moreAs a first time dog owner with a puppy, I was both really looking forward to dropping my pup off, but also nervous about what might happen. If he didn't like it, or felt abandoned, or came back all 'deprogrammed' due to his young age and a change to his routine, etc, it would've been even more headache on top of the trials of raising a puppy!
My pup has been to daycare several times now and he loves it. I check on him by phone sometimes and am always given an update by someone really lovely, and the photos that go up on FB really help me to stop worrying!! He was grouped with pups his age which is excellent so he gets socialised with dogs more his age and size, I have really noticed his social skills improving on our walks which I’m sure daycare is helping with. I also signed him up for a sleepover a couple of times now, his carer is responsive via text and sends me a photo of him settling in. His crate, bedding and food containers all come back to me neatly packed and folded. And I love the report cards! It’s good to know how his day was and to get someone else’s opinion on his developmental areas.
It has been a great experience for us all. I am so glad he has taken to it and will definitely be using your other services in the future eg the valet, what a great idea! Both of us work full time and its great to know there is a place he can go where he will be well looked after and have fun, which is a much better time for him than being bored at home with two people who are glued to their computers. Keep up the...
Read moreNormally the staff here are great, passionate dog lovers however on pick up today there was a lady I was unfamiliar with and she was really rude. We booked our pups in for a pamper and play, my husband dropped them off at 10 and I picked them up at 5.30 after work, she first had a go at me about the fact I didn't pick them up earlier and so she could charge me extra, I never said I wouldn't pay extra. Then she answered the phone and after hanging up said "is it that hard for people" referring to online booking. She also wanted to enter our dog in the system and asked if I brought paperwork, however I stated that my husband brought it earlier and they didn't ask for it, she was visible frustrated by this, clearly she was having a bad day! She went to get my two strong and excited dogs and had a absolutely no control, no use of commands and started yelling at the waiting kids to get out of the way as the dogs just about dragged her across the floor, very poor effort for dog "specialists". The phone then rang again and she (in a rude manner) said I need to get this call can you take your dogs and thrust the leads at me. I took that as my cue to leave and as I started to walk out she tapped me on the shoulder while on the phone and handed me the paperwork from today. It was incredibly off putting and such a shame to have what has been a reliable place for us ruined by one impatient abrasive staff member. It really has left a bad taste in my mouth and will need to reconsider our loyalty...
