My wife and I finally managed to drop in at Smiley Brewing down in Pakenham. It's so good to have another microbrewery down in the South East! The brewery itself is amazing, and has plenty of room to grow, with a venue that has a modern, industrial casual vibe. The bar has a lot to offer, from beer, wine, and cocktails to soft drinks. The paddles are a great starting point, whether it's beer or cocktails you prefer. They have a different food van each week (we enjoyed delicious Thai from "Eat My Thai"!), so check their website to see what's on offer when you're popping in. The beers were really good; on this visit, the 1st Birthday Hazy IPA was amazing, but the Smiling Hazy Pale Ale, Seeing Red Amber Ale, and Oats for Days Oatmeal Stout were all excellent. I think the really nice thing about Smiley Brewing Co, is that it's a family business. Kylie and Trent were very welcoming, and it's hard not to smile as they make you feel right at home. If you're in the South East and you want to visit one of the local breweries, Smiley Brewery is definitely worth a visit.

This brewery is exactly what the area needed! We visited for Smiley’s opening weekend which aligned with finally becoming an Aussie Citizen, so was the perfect place to celebrate with friends and family. With a huge selection of tap beers to choose from, we opted for a couple of tasting paddles at $12 each - bargain! Refreshing Gin cocktail paddle is also on offer for those who want a little something different. Enjoyed a couple of Espresso Martini’s on tap too! Ended up spending 4.5 hours here enjoying the drinks, food (supplied by Cheeky Goose food truck - delicious) and atmosphere. Kylie & Trent were both so lovely with great service. We’ve now found our new local - cannot wait to visit again!

The beers and selection were en pointe! 👌🏼 Cocktails seemed a little weak or sugary - I personally wasn't a fan of the cocktails on tap and prefer freshly made cocktails. Would also like to have ingredients of the cocktails listed on the menu, not just the name. But what the cocktails were lacking, the beers made up for! Taco food truck was great, but would love some permanent food options. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, beautiful smiles too 🥰 would love another option for trying all the beers too - a menu of 10, with only 4 for a tasting paddle isn't enough 😂 give me an option to try them all!!! 🍻😆 But we tried them all anyway, and had a really...
