AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Filthily, Rude, Noisy, Disgusting.
Literally the worst accommodation EVER.
Please beware-- this apartment is separated into two buildings. North and South. North Village is very nice, updated, with new appliances and fans and bathrooms. South Village, making up about 75% of the complex, is DISGUSTING. When we moved in it was filthily. Yellow gunk on the ceiling, floors, walls... The furniture is peeling, broken, and cheap.
Our apartment had two fridges upon move in. One broke half way into the semester and leaked all over the floor. We put in a maintenance request, and three hours later nothing happened. So I went to the office to complain. Someone came right away and took the fridge out. They also left a pool of water on the floor and a bunch of food particles on the stairs that came out of the fridge as they were moving it. They did not clean it up. I then proceeded to go to the office and ask when our new fridge would be coming, because there are five guys in the apartment and we have a lot of food. They responded saying that we would not be getting another fridge, as one fridge was standard. However, I pointed out that there are plenty of apartments around that have two fridges. The apartment manager responded asking which apartments so she could remove the extra fridges.
The managers name is Roslyn Smith. She is a terribly rude person that DOES NOT CARE about her job or the community that she runs. She never says hello to anyone, she hardly responds to emails, and when she does she is sassy about it. Roslyn Smith clearly does not enjoy working at Murdoch University Village or Campus Living Villages.
For receiving over $3,000 a month PER APARTMENT, you would think they would take better care of them. However, it seems as if they could care less and are solely trying to make money off university students.

Read moreWould not recommend. The accomodation in South Village is dirty and cheap. The flats have cockroaches and other animals that fall into your coffee mug or crawl into your socks. They will send somebody to take care of it but the roaches never left. There was hair stuck on my wall, a lot of it, must have been in the wall colour. You couldn't scrape it off, it was literally stuck on the wall. Every night I would lay in bed and have to stare at all the hair on my wall. The rooms are very cold in the winter time. You are not allowed to buy or bring your own heater. The heaters that they give you do nothing and turn themselves off after a short period of time anyway. Laundry rooms were also very dirty and the washing machines were always broken. Especially for temporary international students who do not want to bring or buy furniture, this is not suitable. You have to buy everything, even lamps, bed sheets, cutlery, pots and pans etc. The rooms felt...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place where false accusations fly and management blindly sides with whoever shouts the loudestâpreferably in a white majorityâMurdoch Student Village is your dream destination.
I was accused of serious misconduct without evidence, and the so-called "investigation" was nothing more than a formalityârubber-stamping the version of events presented by a group of white residents.
The Village Manager showed blatant bias, discriminatorily accepting their completely unfounded narrative as absolute truth while refusing to acknowledge any alternative account. No proof. No fairness. Just judgment.
This is a textbook case of institutional bias, groupthink, potential racial discrimination and abuse of authority.
If you're an international studentâespecially if you're not whiteâtread carefully. Your voice wonât be silenced. It simply...
