As an owner/chef for over 12 years and working as a presentations chef for about 8 years at different establishments and working with food at various outlets and hospitality since 1992 such as restaurants, clubs, cooking classes, contests, judging and cooking schools/tuition and major celebrity functions and chefs I can quietly confidently say I have some experience in food quality, preparation and care.
I have come across many providers whom which I like to make a point in getting to know them personally, becasue they provide the food I offer to clients and want to make sure, that what goes on behind the scenes is as good, if not better, than what is displayed out the front. Because what goes on behind the scenes is more important than anything else, as is the same for a restaurant.
So in making this my mission, I was fortunate enough to have struck up such a relationship with Fred's One Stop the first time I walked in there, asking for their produce.
This relationship lasted for 5 years and due to circumstances I had to move from the area.
What I would like to share about Fred's is first and foremost that the care that goes into the store from Love and compassion for all that is, is truly the best I have ever come across.
The customer experience and care for the clientele is always looked into to make sure all is the best possible.
The quality of produce is always sourced from the best and freshest supplies and always treated with the out most respect and care when received and sorted and stored.
The staff are made sure things are always looked after and cared for and that they are as important as the customer and all working together for complete benefit to one and all.
The deli team work so hard because they are always so busy due to the quality and product variety and creativity on display.
Obviously, I can not recommend Fred's Onestop enough, because having delt with many providores, the love and care that goes into everything and everyone else before themselves.......is like no other and it shows with what they offer to the public when you work through the front doors.
One last things I would like to add is.....when I would always serve my green and cooked groceries up to people, the very same question was often asked.........".where did you get this...
Read moreInitially traveled here for Ivan's Smallgoods. I'm a 14 years and counting customer of Ivan. Been on all locations thru time and I need to say that they managed to impress me on each and every time. I bare the nickname of Grumpy for a reason and all staff managed to make me smile.
By the way, the butcher was fine and happy, but like any other human can't please all "Karens" at once. So do not take the hate comment as true, unless you feel so.
On the other hand, Fred's One Stop Shopping place was a pleasant surprise and the variety of gods found here was smashing.
To mention that we travel in excess of 2 hours for this shop and expectations were exceeded above and beyond.
And please do not take my word as granted, but see it for yourself. Will not enter in details, not to spoil the surprise but you need to see it to believe it. Worth a...
