My 2nd visit to Cradle Mountain but this time as part of my Overland Track experience. This is obviously a 5 star mountain hike, the location, the views and the amount of effort to complete makes this a must do for any outdoor enthusiasts. I was lucky to have excellent weather for both of my visits and feel lucky to have had great views. You have to get the bus from the parks office and Carpark and start from one of the stops near to the mountain. Whichever way you choose itโ€™s goi g to mean a lot of going up. I prefer the Horse Trail as itโ€™s a tough start but offers amazing view of the mountain as you approach. Take plenty of water!

This place is everything everyone says, and we were here on almost the worst type of day. It was overcast, drizzly and the cloud covered all the top views. Having said that it was a real joy. So many flowers, trees and different rocky patches, the lakes were awesome, even if we couldn't see all of everything. Ivan only imagine how it would be with the mountains in sight. Recommended, whatever the weather,, and we will be back. All our kids, 8, 12 and 16 managed the many ups and downs with nere a complaint. Do bring lots of water, layers, rain and sun protection and snacks..

Absolutely wonderful and breathtaking place. Best to go up on the shuttle bus and explore, would recommend a minimum of 4 hours but better to set a full day aside to explore this magnificent park. Shuttle buses are frequent and there's multiple stops to get off and take a look. Bring your hiking shoes, warm clothes, water and snacks!
