Woodvale Fish & Lily Farm — Local services in Woodvale

We purchased the hard shell for setup of our pond. The prices for these products and most others are best priced in Perth. Huge selection of lilies as well. After the pond was set up and we had added all healthy bacteria, let it settle test water etc we went back and purchased three stunning big comets at a cost of $80. Less than 2 months later we had a full blown fish parasite out break in our pond that killed two of our big comets. All up we had 4 strains on the fish. Paid $300 for the fish doctor to treat our pond as some parasite killers can not be purchased of the shelf anymore. The cost was an ouch but it was just so sad to watch these beautiful fish die. I suspect the Woodvale fish may have been carrying theses parasites which grew to plague proportions and infected our whole pond and existing fish which were fine up until then. I wouldn't buy fish from here again. But if you do I strongly recommend quarantining them for four weeks, treat them with pool salt and also a parasite killer. It is heartbreaking to watch fish die. Don't get fish from the Lilly Farm- they are infested with parasites!!! We had a beautiful fish pond with Koi fish in it (the Koi cost us around $2000). After a year of enjoyment as Koi fish are great to watch- we decided to introduce some rainbow trout which are compatible with Koi. Despite reading before on the website to not buy fish from Lily farm as they are carrying parasites- I just ignored someone's warning ..... to my distress.... and purchased them. Soon after introducing them to the pond- they started to die one after another. After they were all gone the Koi fish started to act strangely (swimming slower than ever, staying on the bottom of the pond, stopped eating) and eventually started to die. We lost all of the beautiful fish and the whole family was absolutely heart broken. As to us there were our pets.... not just a fish... as the lady at Fish and Lilly Farm said. Maybe to you lady there are just a fish to make profits but for others like us they were part of our family. Sadly our pond became a graveyard and it will take a time to have new fish in it- but definitely I won't buy it from the...

Bought a pond off them....the sales man was very friendly....and got a very good deal as it was last piece. I asked the size and he confirmed with a co-worker that it was over 2000litres and so I slowly bought fishes accordingly...Unfortunately a few had passed. After a lot of research I found out that the pond it's only 560 litres and I am now stuck with it. Reply: The reason why i didn't raise the issue with you its because I had a feeling that you would have replied exactly the way you did. I also bought a all in one filter of you and when asked questions if the system was working effectively i had a short similar response... We are not sure why you got this issue ....just leave it will be fine..... I also bought several fishes and when asked question i felt the same way. It is up to you if you wish to investigate further with the salesman that was there...it was a young man who sold me the last universal...
