Great for learning or practicing climbing.
Great time for kids during holidays.
For kids they offer activities for half day or for full day (climbing combined with another activity - check their website for details). As young as 7 yo can confidently learn how to climb really high, how to think ahead their next move and how to be safe. Also as they do climbing into teams of two (one climbs and the other is securing with the cord) they learn how to cooperate and help each other. All these skills are far more outreaching than just for climbing - they help them in life in general.
Climbing is combined with doing physical warm-up/ cool down. During the garderie they have some board games they can use, from chess to Uno cards, colouring books etc.
Apart from the holiday activities, they also have regular classes in different formulas. All details on their website.
They have French and Flemish speaking coaches.
As practicalities: there is a bike parking close to the building, under camera surveillance, a big parking under the bridge, for cars. I side there is a bar with some snacks and with some specific products for climbing. Also a corner where regulars can sell/buy second-hand equipment in good order. Always a practical and good advise for the questions (especially coming from a...
Read moreThe staff make this gym an absolutely miserable experience. The gym team sprawl all over the bouldering space as if it's their own personal gym not allowing any one else to climb the wall. That is if you can get served. After waiting 10 minutes behind a queue of 0, you finally get to change in disgusting facilities you wouldn't even find in a public primary school. And after being bullied around by the staff the only thing you can do is give up and get a beer. But no luck, because the staff are more interested in having a coffee and a chat with eachother than serving anybody.
Strongly discourage...
Read moreWent there twice. What i liked where the amounts of routes on the given space. Also there are lockers where you can put your wallet etc. for free (own lock needed). the staff was taciturn and professional. Where I think they can step up is regarding cleaning the hall and the ropes since it is full of Magnesia dust. Also the 2 boulder rooms offer a few tours for the given space. Overall price for the activity is good you can have fun there and I...
