Huge disappointment. After two successful visits, I thought I'd found a Sichuan restaurant in Brussels to rival those in Paris and London. Six months later, I returned and was served the sticky, sweetened mess you can find in any Cantonese-style Chinese in Europe.
Unlike my first visit, there was no hint of chilli, no vinegar, no dried chillies and no sichuan pepper. I ordered three dishes and each had the same base sauce with the same three chopped veg dumped on top: overcooked, flavourless carrots, courgettes and mushrooms.
I should have guessed really. the menu was totally different and there were no specials chalked up as there were on my previous visits. I can only imagine the place has changed hands or that it's decided to adapt itself to what it perceives to be local tastes.
One star, because it was not only a poor meal, but because it was a long trek out to Auderghem...

The beef with chillies dish was very bland with a total lack of spiciness. The aubergine dish was a bit better and the dumplings were alright. It was all Chinese guests while we were there but this is probably more due to the hopeless standard of the opposition rather than any particular merits of this place. They do have a decent beer selection though, including Westvleteren apparently so this a big plus... could be so much...
Read moreVery good Chinese restaurant. We did a take away and were impressed with the quality of food. The dishes come with a fixed portion of white rice. Fried rice (with your choice of meat, seafood) and noodles (choice of meat, seafood ) have to be ordered separately. We tried the noodles and loved it. We tried their pork ribs- were excellent and juicy, the beef filet sautéed in pepper sauce was also good and we thoroughly enjoyed Kung Pao chicken (chicken with peanuts in a mildly spicy gravy). Definitely the best Chinese food we’ve...
