I say this as someone who dared rent an appartement close to the exposition center: they do not care for the neighbourhood. Globally, most events are perfect and we don’t even feel they’re taking place, except increased traffic. But we’ve lived through too many rave parties. It’s been three months in a row, one event per month, and now, another Modulair event is going to be spread on four days, even weekdays! Do the organisers from the expo not know people live around this place? That we work on weekdays? This means that the base echoes through our appartement for hours, we can’t even enjoy our balcony without being forced to listen to techno, putting our kid to sleep is a hassle. Oh! And when it’s summer, you can’t even open your windows. When the events end, sometimes at 6 in the morning, the street is filled with screaming and laughing eventgoers, sometimes you’ve got ambulances and sirens. I’ve lived through a few early wakes in the last months because of these parties. Good luck for getting some rest when a rave party is going on! And if it was a few events a year, why not? But it’s almost every month, sometimes for days, and even on vacations. The neighbours should probably be taken into account, really. Most of us were under the impression it was an exposition center, not a...
Read moreAs far as event halls go this is not the worst I've seen, but it is certainly lacking in certain aspects. The bathrooms are inadequate for the amount of people who attend large events, and are poorly organised. Several times now have I seen extremely long queues originating from the women's bathroom, but people can't tell where it comes from so men wait in line for long times. There are picnic tables to eat at but these are at the opposing side of the hall from the food court area. There are no ATM's to withdraw cash from and only one booth to do this at. They could outfit this place a lot better, I am somewhat...
Read moreWe were there on a dog show. We paid the normal fee for each dog, have to pay the parking space (5€/day) and additionally have to pay 0,5€ für each toilett-visit (which were not really clean and there was only cold-water). For a really tiny LatteMacchiatto and a Cappuccino we paid 7€. Waaaay to much for this tiny paper-cup. The dog-toilett was just a completelly concrete/asphalt areal, where the most dogs don't want make a poop on aaand naturally after about 4 hours after the beginning of the show you just can't breathe there because of the odor. Quite a real...
