Wieże Broel & brzegi Leie. BROEL TOWERS. Dzisiaj mieliśmy okazję zwiedzać Kortrijk. Znaleźliśmy się przy dwóch wieżach. Dwie wieże wykonane są z wapienia i piaskowca. Południowy „Speytorre” został zbudowany w 1385 r., a celem budowy była kontrola ruchu na Leie - aczkolwiek wieża była również częścią ufortyfikowanego ogrodzenia zamku pierwszego hrabiego Kortrijka. Północny „Inghelburghtorre” z 1415 r. miał za zadanie służyć jako magazyn broni i był przeznaczony dla artylerii. Zaś sam most Broel pochodzi z 1385 roku. Warto przyjść i zobaczyć. Polecam!

Het verlagen van de leieboorden met integratie van speelse elementen zorgt ervoor dat deze publieke ruimte een verhoogde belevingswaarde heeft gekregen. De wandelafstanden richting het centrum zijn klein en uitnodigend ingericht. Een streepje groen in deze ruimte ontbreekt echter nog. Een kwalitatieve herinrichting van de openbare ruimte van wat vroeger parking was.
