A beautiful, long stretch of beach just outside Limassol with calm, shallow waters perfect for swimming, especially for families with children. The beach is mostly sandy with some pebbly parts, and there are plenty of spots to relax with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent.
There are also nice seaside taverns for a meal or coffee with a view. It’s generally peaceful on weekdays and gets livelier on weekends. Parking is easy and free, and access is straightforward by car.
Tips:
Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat — it can get very hot, especially midday.
Ideal times to visit are early morning or late afternoon.
Keep your dog on a leash to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
Don’t leave trash behind and avoid smoking or lighting fires.
In case of emergency or fire, call 112 immediately.
Keep an eye out for insects like mosquitoes and reptiles like snakes (including vipers) near the riverbanks — best to wear proper shoes if exploring off-path. Above all, respect nature and enjoy a refreshing swim in one of Cyprus’ most beloved coastal spots.

Read moreWhen my wife and I went with our Daughter last summer to ladys mile by the captains cabin beach in mid August the beach was very busy and the sun beds and bellies were 2.50 euros each for the whole day. The beach was clean and the sea was warm, we went back as we have done for 20 plus years and nothing much had changed, the sun beds and bellies are still 2.50 each for the day and the food at the captain's cabin as usual was very high quality and very well priced also the drinks very competitively priced for both alcoholic and soft drinks. The sea was clean and you could walk out for 50 to 60 mtrs before The water got what I would call deep which suited both my wife and daughter because they don't like not being able to...
Read moreI'm giving Lady's Mile a 4 stars only because I know it's not for everyone. But we love it! The water is SO clear and you usually get plenty of space to yourself (less so on busy summer weekends). Closer to the Oasis Restaurant end, it is shingle and pebble, so getting in and out of the sea is trickier. The further towards the military base you go, the sandier the beach becomes. The salt lake behind is a very special place. The masts, port and military stuff don't make for the best of views, but just enjoy the beach! There are also restaurants etc with beach beds, food and drink, and music, if that is more your thing. Very very bumpy dirt track to get there, just makes...
