Lake Minnewanka Parking Lot — Local services in Alberta

I was here with my family and the lake was so beautiful, it was so fun to go in the water and row through the huge space of the lake however we were hit by a rainstorm while still far in the lake and when we met up with the staff again they weren't the nicest. My one biggest complaint is that they didn't even bother to ask us if we were okay first but rather if we were even aware of the boundaries... and they gave a bit of attitude asking us that. I tried telling them that my boat got swept away by the strong winds and currents but unfortunately the staff ignored me. my other group's boat reached back to the shore and another staff gave them attitude and also didn't ask them if they were okay. she gave them the most attitude and that was not very professional. the weather was really terrible and we could've gotten seriously injured or worse but nope no one asked if we were doing fine or if anyone was hurt etc. So I'd say, do better at making sure your tourists feel safe out there especially after a...

A bit crowded but if you go along the road there are side-areas you can park in and really enjoy the natural beauty of the lake. At night time during the summer it is PHENOMENAL.The stars are simply gorgeous beyond belief and it's kind of surreal to drive on the dam in the night. Be really careful about driving out at night because wild-life does frequent the highway. We saw a fox on the way out. It has many parking but it's the best to arrive there before 10 am; else you will have to circle around the parking lots many times like vultures to look for who has just left. There are many lazy slope hiking trails. you could rent canoe or hop on a tour boat. It 's the best to buy your tour boat ticket online. You could drag your portable bbg grill to the park to bbq your steak, boil your crabs / lobsters, cook hotdogs and burgers or enjoy your tasty salad bowl.
