My (now) husband and I got married at the end of September 2023 and I was lucky enough to stumble across Cherlynn/Sophisticakes when I was researching wedding cakes. Commissioning her was a choice that I’m so incredibly happy to have made and I highly suggest others do the same.

Cherlynn was brilliant to work with. She was responsive to all questions, helped me workshop what I wanted the cake to look like, and provided alternatives, suggestions and ideas to have the cake complement our wedding decorations and colours. We dropped off some of our flowers and our cake toppers to her a few weeks before the wedding, and Cherlynn traveled on site (Deerhurst Resort) the day of to set up a cake that I couldn’t stop smiling about.

I can also say that the cake was flipping AMAZING. At most weddings I’ve been to, the cake was..fine. But her’s was so good that I still have people telling me that it was one of the tastiest cakes they’ve had in ages.

10/10 recommend, great experience from ordering all the way until the cake was on my fork! Cherlynn was able to make the exact design as we hoped for my moms 60th birthday! A classy, sophisticated and delicious cake! Topped with a custom topper “60 & fabulous” as requested! It was so easy to work with Cherlynn over email to decide on a design/flavour. We chose butter pecan cake with a salted caramel filling 10/10 recommend this flavour combo, it was DELICIOUS. Butter pecan cake was light and nutty/extremely moist, salted caramel filling was a burst of sweet flavour! So good that I had absolutely zero shame eating a piece for breakfast THATS HOW GOOD! Lol Custom cakes are obviously more expensive than your average store bought cake, but it was WELL worth it! And for good reason, with the quality of work and ingredients no doubt. Do you and your loved one a favour and order a cake from SophistiCakes! I look forward to eating one of her cakes again...

Cherylnn from Sophisticakes truly exceeded all expectations with the custom Hello Kitty cake she crafted for my daughter's first birthday. Not only was the cake a work of art, but Cherylnn went above and beyond by including a delightful smash cake and a personalized cake topper with my daughter's name. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the cake tasted as amazing as it looked. Cherylnn's talent and dedication made our daughter's birthday celebration truly unforgettable.
