Worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. Even boarding on racism!!
I walked in at 8:20pm (store closes at 9pm) trying to purchase a few items for my boyfriend. There were 2 employees folding clothes who told me that the store is closed and that I'm not allowed to shop in that section. I looked around the store, seeing multiple people browsing and still shopping.
I pointed out that the gate wasn't close, that it was 40mins till close and asked why others were allowed to keep shopping.
They responded by saying it takes a while to clean everything up, and they're trying to close early. They told me to come back tomorrow.
I walked up to a different employee and asked if there was a reason why I couldn't shop while other people were allowed to. The employee looked confused, mentioning that the store is still open and that I'm allowed to shop. I told her about the 2 employees who said otherwise, and she then told a cashier what happened. The cashier told me it was okay and that I could shop.
So, I went back to the men's section, and the 2 ladies said again, "Hey lady, we already told you, you can't shop here, we're closed!" I responded by letting them know their cashier told me I could. The cashier then had to leave her post to come verbally tell them to let me shop.
Upon checkout, I explained to the manager how unnecessarily rude the 2 employees were. I said it wasn't fair that they singled me out while everyone else in the store could shop. The manager said they were new hires and that it was their first day. (Doubt this was true)
I've literally worked as a retail manager in the same mall as this store, and I'm appalled at the lack of customer service there.
Not to mention, I was the ONLY black person in the store. I don't like making things about race but I can't think of any other reason as to why they would tell me I couldn't shop here while letting other people who weren't black walk in the store and shop after me. I wasn't even the last customer in the store when I checked out. After I left, people were still shopping.

Read moreI was there last month to get a pants, and I have seen a posting written "buy one get one $1" on top of the red ladies coat. I asked the lady in that section (I was unaware that she is the store manager) to make sure of the deal so I can get one blouse which is the same price of the coat and then I can get the coat for a dollar. I took me more than half an hour to get a pairing where I can get the "buy one get one $1 deal" and there was a long line up at the till but I have waited coz I thought it was a good deal. When I have reached at the counter, the cashier said that the red coat for ladies is not included for the "buy 1 get one $1" then I told her that I confirmed it from the lady in that section (store manager). She then went to the lady and asked her again about the price. The lady said different information and pricing to the cashier which made me so frustrated. Then I asked the lady how come she told me and confirmed that it is included in the promo, and what she answered back was really a lame excuse which was "well I was unsure about your question" then I got frustrated then I told her "it is stupid to answer a question that you were unsure of" and she felt bad thinking that I was trying to humiliate her in front of her staff then I found out that she is the Store Manager. Then again I said "but you guys tell me, isn't it stupid if you will say something that is not true and specially the promotion board was posted right on top of the red coat?" then she asked me to leave the store just because she thought I was humiliating her. I decided to leave not because I was wrong, but because at that time I was in a hurry and I had an appointment. Read moreI bought a clothes 1st week of June and I was double charged and when I came in the counter to inform the cashier she told me that I g=have to wait a call coz they need to call the video room because they need to review the CCTV then I made a follow up every week and they always said that they didn't receive any update from video room. After one month I got the response when I did I follow up again last July 9, 2017 Sunday then they just ask if I didn't get the call from the head office (obviously I didn't that's why I still following up) and I said NO coz no call me. Then Kelsey the manager who handle my complaint told me that she will follow up the head office to call me I made a follow up then until Tuesday I didn't receive any call from them they just always say the same thing. Then when I made a follow up again on July 12, 2017 around 10am and look for Kelsey the one I spoke to told me that Kelsey is off up to 7 days so I have to wait AGAIN for 7 days. As far I as know if the manager take a leave he/she should turn over the complaint to their co-manager so that they going to handle it coz what if Kelsey will off until so I have to wait another ONE month? And I ask the manager assigned that they if she can follow up my concern to the head office she said she can't, that she need for approval the she can't call the head office or anything. She just said that she will try to email the head office. And when I ask her name she don't want to give her name. She said she can't. why not? I just want to know her name so that when I make a follow up again I know who I spoke to or I know who I look for. in what processed that you did is just like you were think that I steal the item.
