À Outrance — Local services in Gatineau

I am reading all the good reviews and wondering if we went to the same place.

Unfortunately, we were really disappointed. It cost us over 80$ for over cooked meat and mushy fries.

I like the concept. You get in, order your food and then go to a table. Self serve for water. The ambiance and restaurant are very nice, love the decor!

But... My husband ordered the fish of the day - overcooked fish, undercooked potatoes. 34$. I ordered the pound of wings and a French fries - way overcooked chicken and undercooked mushy fries, no crispyness at all. 19,75$ for 8 wings and 8$ for the fries. I almost took the poutine... Oh man would have I been pissed to get a soup of fries. Look at the pictures, food looks good! The flavors were good, but that's it. Not at all what I expected and a bit upset that it cost that much for what we got. Did the cook had a bad day? Maybe. Am I tempted to try it again?...

As a tourist, I must say that this is the best destination in the Buckingham area that I have been to. Firstly, the owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Secondly, the warm ambiance at night created the most pleasant atmosphere one could expect in Buckingham. Thirdly, the music choices were on point, so much so that I could find myself dancing at my seat. Last but not least, the food was amazing. We tried the shared platter and got the pleasure of sampling many of their rotating dishes. You can tell that this restaurant cares deeply about quality and investing in healthy ingredients. I would recommend À Outrance to anyone looking for good times, good food, and good vibes. PS. the merchandise and products for sale is an extra perk. Thank you very much, we look forward to returning and indulge further in what this genius chef has to offer...

Cool place to come grab a drink. We had a group reservation and sat outside in the back garden. They had games for kids, which was nice, and you can even bring your dog. The only thing is the ordering system. We all ate at different times since all of us ordered at different times due to having to share phones to order. Also, every time you want something else, you have to order through the app. But besides that, it was a great vibe. I definitely would go back with a...
