Other friends and family had been here before and kept telling us about some of the great deals that they get on 🍖🥓 Meat. So on this Friday without seeing a flyer or any advertisement of a sale I decided to drop in and see for myself. Ended up leaving with the $30 order of primarily meat. From Brothers pepperoni to boneless skinless chicken breasts, bacon 🥓, Black Forest ham and roast beef combo packs, Maple leaf hot dogs and steaks. I left with a good size sampling of everything. The employees were kind and willing to help you find something you may be looking for. Very gateway ish. Without the need to be corralled out the door. Multiple aisles are big enough that you can move in any direction and shop. Manned cash registers and also self-checkouts two of them are provided. If you do not bring a reusable bags, paper bags are for sale at the registrar.
All in all I enjoyed the experience it's very much like gateway meats in dartmouth. There are bargains On meets at or beyond their expiry date and frozen, Pay Attention!
Will definitely shop here more!
Hope...

Meats / deli items are mostly the big draw here. You can get some absolutely smoking deals. Check the website for promotional sales. It's updated regularly. However don't be surprised if you show up and see some deals that weren't online.
The veggies / fruits can have some great sales as well. They're definitely hit or miss. Not my go to spot for this but I have definitely have had some good finds.
The misc items like sauces, noodles, snacks etc are average and in some cases slightly more.
I have one large grocery bag that I shop with regularly and usually fill every time out and at Kingswood I leave in the 50-70$ range. At the bigger mainstream stores the same bag costs me upwards of $130 so yah ive definitely been...
Read moreThe main reason this store got 3 stars and not less is because of its convenient location in Hammonds Plains. It can often be a huge pain to battle Hammonds Plains Road during busy times to get to Sobeys, so if there are some simple things you need, Kingswood Valufoods is the place to go.
The trade off however is that the place doesn't feel very clean, and it seems quite dated. Many shelves are often bare and the produce looks like it has seen better days (much better days). They do have a little ice cream stand that I have yet to try, though I'm unsure whether I'd feel comfortable consuming anything that came from this store unless it's in pre-sealed packaging. Thats just my 2c, make of it what...
