For my anxiety friends. Itâs in a small plaza with lots of parking. There is a seating and reception area. It is a bit humid with all the water running. I was greeted by the receptionist who asked for my number and appt time. No paperwork or forms to fill out. They sat me in the waiting area and gave me a pair of paper slippers and a key tag with a number on it and a matching one for my shoes to be placed in a cupboard. Angel was my tech. The strength and inclination of the tech could make or break the enjoyment of the massage in my opinion. She ushered me down the hall, handed me a cape and instructed me to remove my top, keep on my bra, and wear the cape with the back open. She brought me to the back where the washrooms were. No hooks or shelves were in there. She said there would be 2 other people having their treatment. The room I was in had no curtains. Storage was under the bed for my belongings. They had relaxation music playing and it was quite quiet. My 2 companions did not converse. She did a face massage and put a heated eye mask on. Howâs the pressure, was the extent of our conversation. She did a face massage and scalp massage with some gentle equipment. A double shampoo with a head massage. Then a conditioner and a neck and shoulder massage. Everything happened in conjunction with a massage. Then she placed the halo sprayer. It did not wet my face or any area where it wasnât intended. I did not have any water temp concerns but with 10 of these sinks going I can see how it could happen, especially if the tech was not mindful. After 5 minutes of the halo she used a warm towel to clean the product from my back and shoulders, a bit of a dry on my hair, wrapped it up, sat me up and did a little massage and said I was done. It was quite enjoyable and relaxing. I changed in the treatment room that was now empty and left my cape on the bed. She met me outside and brought me down to the dryers. The run of the step is short and the 15 stairs are steep. Use the handrail and go slow with those slippers. At the bottom on the right there are 6 salon chairs and a couch. While I was sitting, a lady fell down the stairs. Like fell fell. Water was offered and some Moroccan Oil for my hair. They had a couple of other products. A basic hair dry was performed, no heat protectant was offered, nor did I ask. The autoclave was useless for brushes as you couldnât tell a brush that was ready or was just placed inside. Back at reception on the counter there was a tray with a slot with all the techs names for you to place a tip. I paid, left a tip, gave Angel my shoe tag and she brought out my shoes and that was it! Would I go back if I felt lazy on hair wash day and they had an appointment when I wanted it? Yes. Would I go back if a friend wanted me to go even though they knew we couldnât chat? Yes. Otherwise, probably not. I get massages regularly and for what I paid them and what I can get though my benefits I just donât...
Read moreI was looking forward to the trip to Markham after seeing this massage on TikTok. I was shocked to walk in and be overcome with the smell of mildew. Willing to work past it because I could see the water damage behind the curtains around the windows and figured it was just a waiting room issue we sat down in the waiting area and waited 25 mins before asking if we would be starting soon. The waiting room was very full and it was 8pm. We figure theyâre overbooking. We were told to continue to wait while a room was cleaned. We were taken to a room with two beds. The woman left with no explanation. My sister and I giggled and just started try to figure it out. Eventually a woman entered and it took asking some questions to understand that we needed to disrobe from the waist up and put on a housecoat backwards then lay down on the table. The woman started my sisters massage first and I laid there wondering if I would be laying waiting for my sister to be done. Eventually another woman entered the room and started to rub my hair. With gloves hands this was pulling my hair until she used product. The product smelled really bad like a cheap dollar store soap. It was vigorously rubbed and my head was pressured hard in a variety of places. There was no explanation of what was happening. A spray nozzle was used for rinsing. The waterfall seen on TikTok was used briefly at the end. There was no eye mask like what is seen on TikTok. The room smelt slightly musty. This mixed with the cheap soap smell was kinda gross. But I was hyped up from what I was expecting and kept waiting for it to get better. It didnât. Instead a chest shoulder and upper back massage started and it was painful. I vocalized my discomfort but she kept hitting trigger points and causing more pain. Nothing about this experience was relaxing. Remember my experience started later than my sisters but we finished at the same time. We were sat up and again no explanation. There was a brief back rub with a towel and then we were directed to go downstairs where our hair was blown dry with a hand held dryer. Not the dryer seen on TikTok and brushed out haphazardly. Be aware if you need to have cash to receive the $65 rate we were quoted. They left out the part about needing to bring cash so we were charged $75 annnnd they demanded a tip even pushing the tip jar towards us it was very presumptuous and made it uncomfortable leaving the tip. I certainly wouldnât go out of my way again to drive two hours for this experience my hair salon does a much better job and smells way better and doesnât hurt and costs less. Itâs a great idea and Iâm sure has potential to be relaxing. Maybe the experience is different between staff. This was just my own experience and then things wish I had been made aware of being...
Read moreI came across this place through the social media most of the videos I saw were positive and it's a perfect timing since I 've been looking for a place that does head massage on top of the body massage for a while now. I'm not sure if it was just my experience or other people experience this as well but I'll break down my experience. fyi going to be long.
1st when I found out about this location I immediately called the phone number provided by the website to book an appointment. I called the whole day (morning, afternoon and evening). It only rings once then it get hung up. At first I thought maybe they get so many calls since a lot of people saw the video went viral, so I understand.
2nd I came by the next day so I can book in person. Went in but no one was at the reception so I waited. A couple minutes later the lady that I saw outside was the receptionist. Without me having the time talk, she rushed to gave me a pair of slippers (keep in mind I was the only one waiting) which I stop her since I only came to book an appointment. I guess she can read my mind? Before I could say something she cut me off and gave me the day and time I'm coming in. I got so confused because it's not the traditional spa where the reception would ask what kind of service I want and I wanted to book the Massage ⢠Wrap ⢠Facial they provide at the website. I'm guessing they only provide one service now since it's the one that's in demand.
3rd the day of my appointment. Everything is great, I came in and they took me immediately. The head massage was great and I wish I could have gotten the facial and body massage (if they offer it). My disappointment of this day was the ending where they blow dry your hair. The lady that serviced me dry my hair and told me she can only dry my hair (using the blow dryer) and she can't style it because their not a hair salon which she has a point it's not a hair salon and I understood. She ask me to pay but I wasn't satisfied with my hair so I told her I'll do my hair before I pay, she said ok and left. They have their own iron so I styled my own hair and didn't use their brush since it wasn't on a disinfectant jar. After that I paid and even gave a Tip because it was a good massage.
Overall, I gave 2 stars because I like the head massage and the price but everything else aren't good experience. Hard to contact, no extra communication, only provide one service, don't expect its a hair salon when their service is related to scalp and hair, no sense of comfort, they...
