I live in the area and always order pick up from this Pizza Pizza. I am a Celiac/ have a severe Gluten Allergy. I always order the same cheese gluten free pizza using my app. When I pick up my pizza, the staff always assures me it is gluten free when giving me my box.
A few weeks ago, I ordered a regular cheese pizza for my family using the app. When my family went to pick it up, the staff double checked with them because they recognized my name on the order and were concerned that it wasn’t gluten free. They wanted to ensure I didn’t make an error in ordering and don’t by accidentally eat the pizza.
Today, I ordered a gluten free pizza again but Pizza Pizza’s gluten free dough had changed. The staff had the courtesy of labeling the box specifically mentioning that the pizza size and dough changed from before but the pizza was gluten free.
I have no words to explain how appreciated this level of service is as someone with a severe allergy. It’s hard enough to eat out or get fast food options, but knowing that you are cared for and extra precaution is taken so you can enjoy your food, stress free is even more rare. I live literally a block and a half away from the northern eastgate location and as I passed in the vehicle of my car pool I noticed that the sign in the front window displayed an open sign illuminated in neon. Once home I tried calling and was told that I should try an alternative location. Point being the betrayed the self induced website which clearly states time of closure as well as allowed patrons to stay I'm thiwr establishment past the for mentioned closure time. As a person who has worked in the food/service and security industry since I was old enough to receive legitimate employment. I can only conclude that the employees in charge denied an order only to leave early un checked nor questioned by a fictitious automated ordering system and at the same time protecting the patron friends of the said employee or employees who definitely were not charged for their order which gave reason for them to stay without the intention of paying because they employee clearly offered them the inevitable first call on the product that would be otherwise thrown...
Read moreordered for delivery a couple of times. both times the driver came late, we complained to him that he was 10 minutes late and according to their policy, if its late its free, but he insisted we pay him, so we felt bad and did so. when we opened up our pizza it was crushed and at this point we were annoyed. we called in and told head office what had happened (came late, and crushed) they gave us back credits in the amount we paid for the pizza and told us they would send us another pizza... we did not receive our second pizza. the second time we ordered our pizza, it once again came late and this time we used our credits. the same driver showed up but we complained to head office before he arrived because we thought it was getting personal at this point... they returned our credits. however when the driver showed up he once again insisted we pay him even though we explained everything (how we paid with credits and that head office had returned our credits because he was late again).
