Summary - 0 star if I could, quality has gone waaaaay down over the years.
Picked up lunch on Sat Nov 25 - got veg Thalis and samosas. It got busy around the lunch hour and very slow service++, people that ordered after us got served and received their order first.
Samosas - NOT FRESH. Bit into a very cold Samosa only to find out the entire bag of beef samosas were cold - not room temperature, but FREEZING cold. Called back to let them know of this and the girl justified they cook it “early in the morning” and that’s how “samosas are usually served” I’ve had my fair share of samosas over the years around the GTA and they’re usually served piping hot, leave it up to me/customer should I let it serve “cold”
Veg thali - found a short piece of gray hair in the Shahi paneer. Disgusting. None in our household fit the hair profile. Had to ask the girl to dress my salad with Gajar Ka Achar after she said it wasn’t available? But somehow magically appeared on my request. It’s as if they think it’s my first time having a thali?
Once used to rave about this place but quality has evidently gone down and shot out the door. As my mom was ordering, the girl taking the order abruptly left the cash with another coworker/girl giggling - absolutely no manners or level of...
Read moreI recently visited "A-One's Samosa & Snacks", and while I was impressed with the shop's cleanliness and hospitality, I would like to share some observations regarding the food experience.
I sampled both the Veg and Chicken Samosas, and unfortunately, the Chicken Samosa did not meet the expectations set by the enticing title. However, the Veg Samosa managed to hold its own. On a positive note, the Mirchi Pakora was quite enjoyable.
On the downside, the Bread Pakora fell short, lacking in fillings, which I believe could be improved for a more satisfying bite. It appears there may be room for enhancement in the overall quality of the dishes.
It's worth noting that the crowd in your shop speaks volumes about the positive experiences you have provided in the past. However, there seems to be a current gap in delivering the taste that was once boasted. Perhaps revisiting the quality standards could help maintain the high standards you've set in the past.
I offer my reviews with the utmost respect, with the intention of providing constructive feedback for potential improvement.
I appreciate the hard work that goes into running a successful establishment, and I hope this feedback...
Read moreOne of the best samosa in Toronto ever, this place offers a delightful experience for samosa lovers. Personally, I have a strong preference for the paneer samosa. The combination of creamy paneer, aromatic spices, and crispy pastry is simply irresistible. Each bite is a perfect balance of textures and flavors, making it a standout choice for me.
On the other hand, my wife is a big fan of the veg samosa. She appreciates the variety of vegetables used, which include peas, carrots, and potatoes. The veg samosa is seasoned with a blend of spices that enhance the natural flavors of the vegetables, creating a savory and satisfying dish. My wife often comments on how well the ingredients are cooked, ensuring that each piece is tender and full of taste.
We’re huge fans of these two samosas, but we haven’t tried anything else on the menu yet. But the paneer and veg samosas have been the best we’ve had so far, and we’re excited to try more. This place is the best samosa spot in Toronto, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic taste of Indian...
