Marche Hawai is, imo, better than Kim Phat in the east end for all your asian grocery needs. They hold many popular brands from china, korea, japan, vietnam and thailand, as well as some indian items.
The freezers contain a lot of quality stuff, which is odd, considering it's frozen and prepared. However, many brands of dumpling, bao buns, spring rolls, and other items are actually quite tasty, and not very expensive either. The prize item they hold is myojo frozen ramen packs. These are better than what some restaurants serve in the city.
Their meat section, while limited in variety, is higher quality than most grocery stores and less expensive to boot. A pack of 5-6 chicken thighs go for around 7.50$. A nice slab of pork belly for 11-13.
They have a large variety of frozen fish and seafood products as well, though the lack of fresh options may disappoint other shoppers.
They also have a great selection of fresh noodles. I strongly recommend grabbing some for your next noodle dish.
Their vegetables and fruits are nicely varied, and they carry some imported items you probably won't find in many places, like durian fruit.
Finally, they hold all of the popular instant ramen brands, as well as snacks and sweets.
Overall strongly recommend shopping here for your...

I was just there in that Aweful Store. I took a video of the pastries and unententionally two of the female workers were in the video. They requested I delete the video but I said I will edit the video and remove that part. However, they weren't contented and called the Manager. The manager or that staff they called to intervene began nicely and ask what the problem was. Due to language barrier we weren’t understanding each other well… Thr situation escalated and she looked at the video and deleted the video HERSELF. Then She said she will call the security. I was appalled with her behaviour and complaint for what reason she had to call the security for? She claimed that I refused to delete the video. Argumentally I said there’s no more vidoe because she DELETED IT HERSELF.
The behaviour of the Manager is appalling, has no costumer service and very rude, poorly handled conflict between customer and staff.
That will be the first and LAST I WILL GO TO THAT STORE, due to the unprofessional behaviour of...
Read moreUPDATE: before they closed for renovations I thought they were upgrading the place. Not completely change the name and some products inside. All the groceries I use to get are not longer there. I’m kinda sad because Hawaii marche was one of my favourite Asian stores with good prices. before the update I gave 5 stars, now I get them 1. Some of the produce they had put for clients was hard to choose from because they have mould in them! I even came home with some vegetables with mould which was a waste of money. Don’t bother coming.

This place has a lot of great options for little Asian snacks and drinks to choose from. Each aisle is long and packed with anything and everything you need. I love that each area is very clean and organized. They have a good selection of meat products and fresh produce. The cashiers are very nice and sweet. I love coming here for all those reasons and they also have very unique plants if you have a green thumb...
