Tucked away behind a modern and newly established suburb in Oakville, Sixteen Mile Creek offers a huge trail for hundreds of residents and trail seekers to explore at once. There are numerous entrances to this trail so parking is never an issue. The Moccasin trail is quite long which is certainly rare for a suburban community in Southern Ontario. It has great elevation for beautiful tree top views of the landscape and creek, and you can even venture down creekside as you journey through the trail. Not a very strenuous hike if you decide to do the complete trail, but also not a walk in the park considering the hilly elevation. Great...

Really nice and long walking trail. Love the fact that it has various entry and exit points. Also it's on a hilly area with several beautiful lookout points.

The trail isn't clearly marked so you have to find your way around it.

You can see the stream going next to you. There's several bridges and stairs.

The best part is the beautiful old tall trees. You are in the middle of a dense...

Lucky to have this gem 5min walking distance from our house. We do the trails in the morning and afternoon most of the summer months. Very popular for biking, hiking and walking with many entries/exits to the upscale neighborhood nearby. Fantastic idea to keep such a large green area in the middle of Oakville, which is by far the greenest suburban area of GTA.
