My boyfriend and I will never shop at Tepperman's London location again. If we could give a rating of zero stars, we would. We ordered a bedroom set, mattress and pillows from Tepperman's on January 26, worth a little over $11,000. At the time that we were shopping we had a great experience with our salesman Greg, but it all went downhill from there. We were told 6-8 weeks for the order to come in, which put us at mid to late March. That timing was going to be perfect because that's when my boyfriend would be moving in with me. Mid March, I gave our salesman a call to see where we were at with our order. We were informed that Tepperman's was just waiting for the bed slats to arrive. So, my boyfriend and I went into the store to pay the rest of our purchase in full since we expected that our furniture would be ready for delivery at any time. April 19, I called Tepperman's again because we had not heard anything about the arrival of the bed slats. I wasn't able to get a hold of our salesman, so I spoke to one of the clerk's that answered the phone. This clerk informed me that our order had still not been filled. Tepperman's was still waiting on the bed slats. I was also told by this person that the bed slats would not be arriving until May 6. And again, we were told that we would have our furniture 6-8 weeks from January 26. On April 24, I placed another call to Tepperman's, our salesman was not in that day, so I asked to speak to another salesperson. This lady was very pleasant, I told her how disappointed my boyfriend and I were because the wait was much longer than expected and all we were waiting on was bed slats. She looked up our order, so I mentioned to her that the clerk I had spoken to the last time that I had called, said that the bed slats would be arriving May 6. This lady apologized to me and said that she is not sure where the clerk got the date of May 6. So, this salesperson took it upon herself to email my salesperson, suggesting that he call me with an update as well as suggesting that he speak with his managers in order to have the managers contact the manufacturer to ask what the delay is. April 28, I have not heard anything from my salesman, Greg, following the email that his coworker sent to him on our behalf. I called Greg and left a voicemail at his extension. Greg called me back later that morning. I told him how disappointed and frustrated we were with how long we had been waiting for our furniture. He informed me that the slats would be delivered to Tepperman's between that day and May 10. Before I could even ask, Greg offered to speak to management in order to give us a little bit of a refund as an apology for the wait. He confirmed how we paid and said that a refund would be awarded to my VISA card. May 1, I finally received a phone call saying that our furniture was ready for delivery, so we set up a delivery date of May 13. Tepperman's only delivers to my area on Tuesdays and Fridays. On May 12, I hadn't heard from Greg about our refund and there was nothing on my VISA card statement. So, again I called Tepperman's. Greg apologized when I told him that we had not received a refund yet and he said that he was going to speak to management again. Our furniture was finally delivered on May 13, so we waited 15 weeks in total. We are very happy with it. However, yesterday, May 15, I got a voicemail from Greg stating that he finally got an answer from management that we are being refunded about $300. I have not called Greg back because I'm again frustrated with Tepperman's, $300 does not seem like enough of a refund when I was the one who was having to call them for updates. It also does not seem like much of refund when you consider that we spent over $11,000. I would not be as upset, if Tepperman's had provided us with status updates regarding our order or apologed for the delays. But, it was always me calling them to track down answers. This experience was very frustrating, stressful and disappointing to say the least. I will not be recommending Tepperman's in...
Read moreI just left the London Location of Tepperman's, a very satisfied Happy Customer due to our sales associate named Elias. My husband and I went in at 5:30 which was 30 min before their 6:00 closing time. We were there to buy a mattress we had seen online so we knew what we were there for but we had arrived way later than we had originally anticipated. When we came in there were 5 sales associates standing around chatting right in front of us. Both of us were attempting to make eye contact but unsuccessfully. I said to my husband we should just ask someone because we knew what we wanted. My husband said he wanted to see who wanted our sale. Turns out none of the 5 did because when we turned and headed towards the bed section, none of them attempted to talk to us despite the fact we knew they had seen us when we first came in, they just wouldn't make Eye contact. At this point I could see a gentleman sitting ro the left of the aisle we were walking down. His attention was directed elsewhere but he looked completely exhausted and I assumed he was waiting for a family member or friend to make a purchase. As we got closer to him though, he caught sight of us and stood up and asked if he could help us with anything. From that moment on he was so friendly and positive, none of the fatigue I had seen earlier evident. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything other than what we came in for. He did however provide us with a lot of information about the 2 closest mattresses to it both within $200 of the original price. This allowed us to make an educated decision based on our body types and sleep habits. He's been in the industry for 20 years and this is evident by his ability to clearly explain the way the mattresses work to support you. After he was finished doing the paperwork we headed towards financing and I said to my husband that I only want to deal with Elias in the future. I've made this choice not only because he was the one to approach us and he was so friendly but also because he made me feel like I could trust him. I did not feel any pressure to buy anything I wasn't interested in.
Thank you Elias for taking such good care of us today. Thank you also for turning a potentially negative shopping experience into something Positive. But Tepperman's should also Thank you as I have purchased a 3 piece furniture set from Tepperman's, My husband has purchased a washer and dryer, and this is not the only bed purchase we are plannning to make. However, it is not the first time that what happened with those 5 associates has happened to me in Tepperman's. So the reason I say that Teppermans should thank Elias is because they wouldnt just have been losing a customer but a loyal customer had I made the choice never to come back and that's where my head was today before Elias said hi with such a big happy smile.
Elias, not only finished our sale but because he felt like he may have ordered the wrong base for us, he punched out for the day (it was now after 6) and met us in the delievwry area to double check our sales receipt before he left. Then he got into his car. we told him we wanted to only deal with him from then on and he said just leave a review. He didn't even say leave a good review. He just started his car, gave a wave out window and was gone leaving behind two very satisfied and...

After an exhausting ordeal, my tv has been replaced. The manager at Tepperman’s in London ON, Joshua Millar was able to assist me. I am very pleased with the service he provided and his honesty in admitting that my claim was not dealt with properly. My tv was returned and I was offered an upgraded tv at no additional charge. I didn’t find a tv that was better than the one I purchased, so Joshua gave me a $250 credit.
I am very pleased with this outcome and despite my initial review. I would definitely shop at Tepperman’s again.
Original Post I recently purchased a new tv from Tepperman’s in London ON. I brought the tv home, turned it on to this screen ( pic 1) When the power is off there is no indication the screen is broken, it is a perfectly black flawless glass( pic 2).
I contacted Tepperman’s about getting a replacement and was informed it had to go through a review process before it could be replaced. As this seemed to me a very straight forward return, I was quite surprised by this. I was told to send in pics of the tv from all angles and the sides of the box. I quickly replied with the required pics and waited for a response. After calling daily for 5 days, I was finally told my tv wouid not be replaced as Tepperman’s Customer Care (manager Krista), determined the fractured internal LCD screen was caused by impact created by me. I inquired how I could break an internal screen without fracturing the external screen. Of course, there was no response to this very logical question.
My next step was to speak directly to the store manager at Tepperman’s. On Friday July 28, Amar was the manager on duty. After speaking to him briefly and realizing I was going to get the same response I informed him I was recording our conversation. He would no longer speak to me and hung up.
Since that conversation, I have gone into the store to speak with the manager Joshua Millar. As of the date of todays post I am still in possession of a broken tv, with no resolution in site.
Like all of us, I work hard for my money. I spend 12 hours a day as a nurse taking care of others and at the end of my day I come home and like to decompress for a few hours, before heading to bed to start again the next day. I am outraged that instead of being allowed that downtime to relax, I am fighting with a family owned business to replace a tv.
This is their written promise:
“Tepperman’s is committed to ensuring you have a positive shopping experience and enjoy your new purchase. With our satisfaction guarantee, you can be confident the new products you purchase are in great condition.• We will repair or exchange products with concealed damage on merchandise picked up” Do not be fooled, they do not stand behind this promise. It is all words to make consumers feel at ease, to spend their hard-earned money and never worry that if they buy a damaged product they will be stuck with it. I am writing this to warn anyone thinking of buying from Tepperman’s in London Ontario, think twice before...
