A must-visit shop/orchard in the countryside, they have sweet raspberries here. The store is also neatly organized. They sell various produce, baked goods and other local products among other things. We were not able to enjoy the kid’s playground and its scenic view of the St. Lawrence River but hoping to enjoy another perspective of it when we visit Quebec City again. They also provided plenty of seating spaces to enjoy the produce and treats. A plus, staff is super polite. Okay, so their giant apple monument/roadside fruit giant is way better looking than the one in Colborne, Ontario. Way smaller but just plain Quebecois better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Loved visiting this family-owned farm. They keep amazing cider, their apple juice is to die for, and their strawberries are the best I've ever eaten (and I've had quite a few in my life!) The lovely ladies who mind the store were friendly and welcoming, and the shop is clean, well-tended, and has very diverse offerings of locally produced delicacies. Finally, the farm owners put up picnic tables so that one can enjoy the view while consuming their purchases. Purely divine.

We're from NB; we recently bought, at a hefty price, 2 jars of strawberry jam, and it was for the most part just jelly with very few strawberries- l counted them, we had 7 small strawberries)!! We bought from this producer being it was the first we encountered coming on the island; nonetheless and being quite disappointed by the few strawberries contained in both jars - next time, we'll buy from another producer.

I have a new core memory—and it started right here. Not long after pulling onto the island, we veered into the big parking lot at Marché Plante / Polyculture. It’s an easy first stop, with most (if not all) of the island staples available right near the bridge.

We grabbed a basket of strawberries and a case of maple syrup, then spent the rest of the day snacking and driving the island, soaking in the views and the distinct cultural vibe of l'Île d'Orléans.

I’ll think about those strawberries every time I...
