We hiked the full loop at Mount Manuel Quimper. It was about 12.18 km and took us around 3 hours and 45 minutes. We didnāt go super fast or super slow. The loop is really nice. Thereās lots of parking and there are washrooms too.

At the top, at the summit, thereās a lookout, a covered shelter, and amazing views of the area. You can see water and all the landscapes around. Itās a beautiful spot. I highly recommend checking it out.
And donāt forget to bring lots of water and snacks; your legs and stomach will start a protest if you leave...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest summit view in the Sooke area, looking over the basin, East Sooke Hills and clear to the Olympic Mountains on a good day. A bit tricky to find your way up as lots of sidetrails and bike trails criss-cross the main hiking route up. Takes about 1.5hr to reach the summit hiking at a medium pace. Hit up The Natural Connection for a hiking guide to learn about the local area, they also provide backpacks, transportation and lunch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of my favourite hikes in the Greater Victoria region. Lots of views at many different heights while making your way up. The summit views are second to none with the Sooke Mountains, East Sooke Park, Sooke Basin, Juan de Fuca Strait, City Victoria, as well as the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. Bring lots of water on a warm day hike. Gets hot and dry on this trail...
