One week ago I drove out to the shop ready to have a shopping spree I had been eyeing stuff online but wanted to try things on. When I pulled up to the store no one was in the front but the store was open. I was peeking around to see if I could see anybody. I went around looking at everything twice before a girl came up from the back and she never even smiled or said hello to me. I was so confused like I was invisible? I was about to leave because I wasnāt seeing the items I had saw online I wanted to try on and I had no help. The girl came back up front and went to the cash and still said nothing so I asked her if there is more stuff online compared to the store and she told me she can get from the back what I like. So I showed her a snapshot I had saved of some pants. She brought them to the room and hung them up again saying nothing to me. I tried them on and she never came back to check on me if I liked them or wanted another size. They didnāt fit and I needed more help but again she was gone. So I decided to leave. I love the instagram lives and the ladies on there seems so nice but my experience instore was not inviting at all. I left and went down the road to Sweet Boutique and I was welcomed and helped the moment I arrived and left satisfied. I donāt like to complain but I was so confused what actually was going on at elles boutique. Maybe the online experience is the way to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been following this boutique for a while now, and was so excited to finally have some time to go in to shop, and refresh my summer wardrobe. I was the only customer in the store, and the two girls working were at the counter talking, they did say hello but went back to chatting, I covered half the store, looking thru the clothes, they looked at me a few times, but that was it. There was no āhow can I help youā or ācan I help you find something particular?ā
I love to support and shop local, but when greeted like this, and when no effort was made to enhance the shopping experience, it makes it really difficult to want to spend money in there. If any one asks me what local stores I would suggest, it wouldnāt be Elleās. Good news is I went on to a few other local shops, in a community near by (Crown and Fox, and Rocket and Roo) and had amazing service and left with multiple purchases, because the effort and enthusiasm was made. If small boutiques like this donāt step up their game, it makes it easy to turn to the bigger stores where customer service is trained and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRecently placed an order during a sale at Elle's and received a confirmation email with an order number. However, after ten days of no shipping updates, I followed up, only to be told that due to an error on their side my order had been missed and the item was no longer in stock. They asked if I wanted to purchase anything else, but didn't offer the sale promotion which was over nor did they offer any options to make it right. Acknowledging it was 100% their mistake, they essentially shrugged it off with a "sorry for the inconvenience". If I hadnāt reached out, they wouldn't have even known they had not fulfilled my order until they "ran a report" whenever that would have been. With all the rave reviews I had expected a better customer experience.
Update: About a week after my original email to check on my items I received an email noting that my order had been canceled upon "my request" when in fact the truth was that they could not fulfill it due to...
