I recently had the opportunity to shop at Food Basics, and I must say that it is a commendable grocery store that caters to the needs of budget-conscious shoppers. Food Basics offers a wide range of products at affordable prices, making it an excellent choice for those looking to save money without compromising on quality.
One of the standout features of Food Basics is the vast selection of products available. From fresh produce and meats to pantry staples and household items, they have a diverse range of options to meet various dietary preferences and needs. The store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate the aisles and find what you're looking for efficiently.
I was particularly impressed with the quality of their fresh produce. The fruits and vegetables were generally fresh and displayed in an appealing manner. While they may not have the extensive organic selection of some other grocery stores, Food Basics does offer a decent assortment of organic and locally sourced options, which is a bonus for health-conscious shoppers.
One aspect that sets Food Basics apart is its commitment to offering competitive prices. They prioritize affordability without sacrificing the quality of their products. The store often runs promotions and discounts, allowing customers to get even more value for their money. I found that the prices at Food Basics were consistently lower compared to other supermarkets in the area, making it a preferred choice for cost-conscious shoppers.
In terms of customer service, Food Basics excels in providing a pleasant shopping experience. The staff members are friendly, approachable, and readily available to assist with any inquiries or concerns. The checkout process is efficient, and the cashiers are prompt and courteous.
While Food Basics may not have the same level of variety and gourmet options as some high-end grocery stores, it delivers on its promise of being a reliable and affordable option for everyday essentials. It caters well to individuals and families who are looking to stretch their grocery budget without compromising on quality.
Overall, I highly recommend Food Basics to anyone seeking a reliable grocery store that offers quality products at affordable prices. It provides a pleasant shopping experience, a diverse range of products, and consistently competitive prices. Whether you're looking to stock up on pantry staples or fill your cart with fresh produce, Food Basics is a trustworthy option that won't...
Read moreThis store recently became very reluctant and negligent about the sanitization process in terms of Cart and basket. On Saturday, Sept 19, 2020, around 1:30 pm, I went to this store and found no sanitize basket at the entrance. I asked the lady, who was dealing with the sanitization process for a basket. She told me that, right now nothing is available and I have to wait. After waiting for some time, I again asked for a basket. She went inside the store and came back empty-handed and told me that it will take more time. After over 5 minutes waiting, I asked the lady, who later told her name - Rokhsana, why I have to wait for so long just to get a sanitize basket and what she is doing to provide that. She told me harshly " if you need you can go inside the store and grab one by yourself". She was not at all apologetic and was somewhat rude.
This is not the first time I have experienced this type of thing in this store. And not only the basket, but they also don't stock sanitize cart anymore. Someone has to grab an unsanitized cart from the parking lot and only at the entrance someone will just wipe it with sanitizer. Whereas the same store earlier maintained the sanitize cart before the customers grab it. Also, there is no open exit from this store, except through the cash counter. In case someone deals with the pharmacy, (which I like because of their excellent service) and pays there or someone went inside the store, but don't buy anything, they can't exit the store without passing through a cash counter. In doing so they are unable to maintain a safe distance with the lined-up customers.
My point is, either follow proper sanitization, safe distance protocol or completely stop it. Stop pretending following health regulation, while following it partially. Also, I think store management failed to train some of their staff, how to behave with the customer and follow simple courtesy. I raise a complaint on their website but no...
Read moreExtremely disappointing as they sell expired products. Two months ago I bought red bean ice cream and it was a few months expired. I went back to the store and checked that all of their red bean ice cream in that brand and they were all a few months expired. I exchanged with another flavour and told them to check the dates in the future more carefully. Now today I bought the mango lassi yogurt and after I drank the bottle I felt it tasted weird giving a weird aftertaste and I checked the date. It expired 5 days ago and I bought it today. Also both products were on sale. If you knowingly sell expired products that taste horrible and put them on sale, at least put a sign that these products are expired. Don’t have photos for the red bean ice cream since I thought it would be a one time thing, but I’m hearing from some people that they also found this store in particular is selling products that are expired. We are not talking about expired for a day or two. They are selling products that are expired a week to a few months. This is...
