We usually attend just Bollywood parties here. To be specific I have visited this place thrice now. The club is pretty good overall in terms of the atmosphere, drinks, Dj, People holding capacity, etc.. but it just doesn’t have a nice ventilation. Towards the front(stage) its pretty suffocated and the basement( rest rooms) are overly heated. The corridors do not have ventilation and due to everyone smoking in the alley towards rest rooms, it becomes almost impossible to breathe. We low-key had to go all the way out of the club to catch up on the breath. The washrooms were not maintained. There was no staff, no tissue rolls, no hand dryers , no hand tissues/soap It was simply disgusting how they kept the rest rooms. Thankfully me and my friends always carry disinfectant, sanitizer and basic public rest room products to be safe. So my biggest advice would be to always be prepared when stepping out. It was a pretty great party by Bollywood social toronto but the Axis club needs to work a little on providing a safe and clean environment. I like the decors, lighting and Vip section. The VIP booth areas are segregated making it very easy for the booth members to enjoy a private show(“kind of”) , usually in Bollywood parties there is no difference as the crowd literally joins in with our booth (as far as i have experienced). To conclude, our Saturday Bollywood night was fun and that’s all we wanted so leaving a 5 star review. If the party by BST ( DJ EXO , DJ SSAMMAC) would not have been amazing then i would have definitely gone for a 2 star just because of how pathetic the rest room conditions were, no natter how amazing...

Honestly, the small and intimate venue is really nice and I loved the artist I went to see tonight but The Axis Club itself is very disorganized or understaffed. I had VIP tickets and the first person checking tickets and giving out wristbands stopped before they got to me and walked away. When another person came out to resume checking tickets and giving out wristbands, they walked past me and a few others arbitrarily and didn’t even ask if we had vip tickets but gave wristbands to people after us. When those people behind told them we also had vip tickets, they walked away and said they would be back but were not. Eventually as the line started moving into the club, out tickets were checked and wristbands given. A third person game out to hand out lapel buttons for the VIP ticket holders but also didn’t move along in sequential order, disappeared and I didn’t get any of the items promised with my ticket nor did many of the people around me. Then after the concert, the person in charge of the merchandise table gave me a torn/damaged hoodie which was still in the bag but the bag was slightly open but opened roughly enough to damage the hoodie (presumably to check for size). This unfortunately, I did not notice until I got home tonight as I assumed that if it’s in the bag, it wouldn’t be damaged and there’s no need for the bag/plastic to be pristine since it’ll be tossed out anyways. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I hope artists I follow do not choose this as their venue...

Came to see Trentemoller on Feb 6 2025. The venue is lovely, it's exactly what I want. Experience with staff was fine.

However, the mixing was TRASH. I want a refund. 3 members of my party (all of them love the band and for one of them, it's their favourite artist) all left after the first 2 songs.

Couldn't hear or understand ANY vocals, could hardly hear any instruments, it was all just overwhelming bass. I don't know what the audio engineers were doing, it seemed like there were two of them all night and they never fixed the EQ.

I've seen this band before and they sounded great and still had plenty of bass. In fact, crappy amateur YouTube recordings done on mobile phones have clearer audio than at this show.

I (and my whole party) all wear earplugs to events like this. Even with the earplugs deeply seated, there was NO clarity in the audio.

It's unfortunate because I see incredible promise in this venue. I spent a lot of money on tickets and drinks, and feel completely scammed. Especially considering I had to travel from out of town to attend.

Unfortunately, even though I know this is an issue with some knobs not being turned to the proper place, it has soured my first experience with this venue such that I will not be returning unless I get my money back.

I cannot recommend this venue. Stay away unless you're a local and the tickets are dirt cheap, otherwise it may be an...

Ah yes, Axis Club—the place where good music goes to die. I’ve been here for three concerts: Katatonia, Soen (both about a year ago), and Delain (two weeks ago). The common theme? Absolute sonic disaster. It’s almost impressive how consistently bad the sound is. At the Delain show, the audience literally had to yell at the band that we couldn’t hear the vocalist. Delain themselves even asked the sound engineers to fix it, but Axis Club stood its ground—proudly delivering the same muddy, unbalanced noise. Katatonia and Soen? Same story. Overwhelming instrumentals drowning out vocals, sound quality fluctuating between “underwater” and “inside a tin can,” and a general feeling that the venue’s audio setup was assembled by someone who actively despises live music. If you enjoy watching incredible bands struggle against an incompetent sound system, this is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and see them literally anywhere else.

Decent size music venue with seating along one wall and bar along the other with standing area in between. Sound was good, though the headliner was very loud (The Adicts). Service at the bar was fast and friendly but a tall boy can was $11 for Coors light. The venue got very hot by the end of the night and the coolers couldn't keep up so the beer was also warm. Bathrooms are off the side of the stage and can be hard to get to with a large crowd. They are down the stairs and through a maze. They were clean but still smelled and one of the two si ks in the men's washroom didn't work. Parking is available at the plaza across the street but was $10 on a Sunday night.
