I recently attended the "Intro to Kayak" training with Niv, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish! Niv proved to be an exceptional trainer who made the entire journey enjoyable and educational.

I had a great experience here and would definitely return next time I am visiting Cherry Beach. I showed up with my dog on a weekday morning without a reservation but they were friendly and able to accommodate us quickly. I rented one of their "Tofino" model kayaks for $30/hour (check their IG as they have some promotions available at times). They were able to register me and have me sign the waiver quickly on their ipad.

I explained that my dog has never been in a kayak before so I wasn't sure how she'd handle it, and the staff were very understanding. They let me try sitting in the kayak on land and then carry my pup into the kayak first to see if she would be okay with it. They even said if when we go on the water she doesn't like it, they can arrange something with me where i get a credit and can come back another time without my dog. Thankfully, my dog loved it and we had a nice time paddling around.

I suggest bringing: waterproof case for your phone (to take photos -- you can get some nice views with the city and CN tower in the background), water bottle, hat, sunscreen, life vest for your dog, and water shoes (if your feet are sensitive).

However, they really do provide everything in case you forget. You can rent a dog life vest and they have dry bags/phone cases you can borrow. You can store your other belongings/shoes at their office no problem.

Their equipment is clean and well-maintained with many options of sizes for life vests and paddles.

Overall, a great way to enjoy being on the water...

I honestly don't know where to start - we are a large family (2 adults, 4 kids) and one of my kids is severely intellectually disabled, so we tend to stay away from certain activities and settings to avoid a bit of heartache, to be honest. I booked two SUP's for our family - none of us had ever tried it before - last Sunday and I walked over a few minutes before our booking to have a look at everything and to determine whether or not my kid with higher needs would be suited to the activity. Within a few minutes of speaking to the person who I believe is the owner, I was at ease. We were booked onto a family SUP instead - it accommodates 6 people! - and we got one single board as well. The staff, though all obviously young people for the most part - were super knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and, more importantly - everyone treated my son like he deserves to be treated. That should go without saying, but unfortunately it doesn't always turn out that way for us. Toronto SUP was exceptional - booking process was smooth, rentals were high quality and clean, staff assisted getting on and off the boards, sizing life jackets, etc. and we all had such a great time. We can't wait to go back - as a family, we tend to focus on giving our money to companies that make our entire family feel welcome and this is one of the good ones.
