Overall this is a really great spot to picnic, walk, exercise and of course allow the furry friends to cool down during the summer months by taking a dip in the water. Part of the beach is full of people lounging or taking in some water sports. Boats can be seen buzzing by and people can be seen paddle boarding. The day can be a bit loud with the sounds of music some like to turn up in there cars but it's still a positive experience. Parking is free and with a little bit of patience it's not too long before you are out enjoying the beach. The dog park itself is fenced in with a gate but obviously if the pups get into the water there's no barrier but the excitement of all the dogs keep them together. There is a wide mix of sizes of pups which is expected so be mindful of the limits of your pup. Keep an eye too as there are some spots that they can tuck behind in the bushes and get you looking. There are public washrooms and food vendors not too far off and some charcoal BBQ set ups in the grass area. It's really a great spot but do NOT create your own spot on any area where you doubt it being a real parking spot. Chances are it is not and you'll be receiving a ticket as a result or be towed up. Perhaps that is worth a THUMBS up on the review here (much appreciated). Hope you enjoy the day at the...

Cherry Beach off-leash dog park is a fantastic spot to take your furry friend for some fun in the sun. The park offers a shaded trail through the trees, which is perfect for a leisurely walk with your pup on a hot summer day. Additionally, there are plenty of beach areas that provide access to Lake Ontario, where dogs can swim and play fetch to their heart's content.

The park is well-maintained and provides a large area for dogs to roam and play, without encountering any issues with other dogs or their owners. The community of dog owners at Cherry Beach is also friendly and welcoming, making it a great spot to meet new people and their furry friends.

However, one downside of the park is that the only garbage bins are located at the entrance. This means that you'll have to carry any waste with you until you leave, which can be inconvenient at times.

Overall, despite the lack of garbage bins throughout the park, Cherry Beach off-leash dog park remains a great spot to spend time with your dog, enjoying the beautiful scenery and...

We have never had a bad time here. The parking lot tends to rotate well as dog owners leave so if you wait 5 minutes you can usually grab a spot. The beach is clean, the dog owners are respectful and the vibes are good. The drive down Cherry St can be a bit tedious and long some days due to construction, which my dog likes to loudly complain about in my back seat, but it’s worth the wait. You can expect to lose a tennis ball or 2 here, so don’t bring your dog’s all time favourite toy, and understand that some dogs do not want to give up their new found treasures.

My dog also loves when I treat him to a few fries from the Chip Truck parked nearby.

It’s good any time of day, but we love going for evening swims and taking in the...
