This store is really special and the co-owner, Marcel, takes such care with each customer including being personable, providing knowledge and care with the products and about the suppliers as well as how to use them using his rich culinary background. I also attended one of his cooking classes and was really impressed! He is a talented teacher and chef and brings in humour, experience, and experiential learning. Marcel, Co-owner / chef of the Gourmet Kettle just provided us with an amazing 5 course meal for a personal Birthday party: He showed up promptly, prepared all of the various courses, served with flair! He has cool little tidbits of history of some of the sauces and foods he served. Highly recommend for a special meal. He cleared the meal, cleaned everything and even took out the garbage. This place is a true hidden gem in Hinton! Stopped by today and got an amazing selection of local products, freshly roasted/ground on site coffee beans, loose leaf tea, unpasteurized local honey, some gourmet truffle mustard annnd a dill pickle hot sauce!
