The gondola itself is lovely. It's new(ish), having been built in 2008, and it's a huge time saver if you need to travel between mountains. I wouldn't go out of my way to ride this gondola. It gets low, at about 1500 ft, and if you're looking just for a view, you get a better view riding the gondola up and down Blackcomb and Whistler. Time is better spent at the Skybridge and its lookout. The restaurant at the top of Blackcomb is nice, though.

高所恐怖症の人には不向きだと思いますが、二つの山頂をゆるやかに結ぶロープウェイで一見しただけでもロープがかなり頑丈なので安心感はあります。出発点のスタッフが若い人一人でこんなの日本ではありえない素晴らしい運営だなと感動しました。実際に悪ふざけをしたり不注意で子供が出て行かない限り、ゆっくり回るゴンドラに乗りこむだけなので乗り降りは安全です。15分くらいに一度、床の中央部がガラス張りのケーブルカーがあり、そちらに乗りたい場合は専用の列に並びます。実際僕が乗った感想ではガラスの下に見える景色はケーブルカーのすぐ横の下の景色で簡単に同じ景色が隣りに見えるので視覚的には何十分も待ってこのケーブルカーに乗る意味はないと思います。
