Ignite Massage Therapy — Local services in Winnipeg

Over the years, I've tried various massage therapists and salons, and each time, they would recommend monthly sessions for maintenance. However, it wasn't until I met Michelle at Ignite Massage Therapy that I found someone I truly wanted to stick with. My wife, a regular client, encouraged me to book a session, and now, after almost two years with Michelle, I couldn't be happier.

Ignite Massage Therapy is a gem in our community. My wife has regularly seen Gerald and always comes home feeling like she's spent an hour with a close friend. When she was pregnant, she was anxious about getting massages because of lying on her stomach. Michelle's training in pregnancy massage was a game-changer. It meant the world to my wife to have that option during such an important time.

One of the most wonderful services Ignite now offers is infant massage. Yesterday, we brought our six-week-old daughter to Michelle, who spent an hour teaching us techniques to massage our baby; to help alleviate gas pains, congestion, growing pains, and simply provide a way to calm and connect with our little one. This service is special, and I would highly recommend it to all new parents.

I booked last-minute with Cecelia and hands-down one of the most caring and professional massage therapist I've had in years. I'm looking forward to going to Ignite once more.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: First impressions weren’t great. Booked an evening appointment and the lights were off in the receptionist area - it looked like they were about the close.. The receptionist wasn’t all that friendly, or welcoming, not a good feel for a first time client.

I booked a hot stone massage ($115) with Mary Lou. She was polite, but didn’t ask about any concern areas prior to the massage. The hot stone massage was lacklustre and since I was put in the room directly across the front door and reception area, I could hear others clear as day during the treatment. Definitely not relaxing. The building is an old house with a 2nd floor where you can hear the floors loudly creak when other clients or therapists walked across.

I've been going to Ignite Massage Therapy for over a year now to help me with the elbow, shoulder, and back pains I've been dealing with, some for over 2 years. I have never been disappointed with the service I've received. The therapist assesses the location and gets to the bottom of my aches and pains. I have never received anything other than insightful, accurate assessments and professional care. I see the therapist there as being notably gifted at discovering the root of the problem and applying massage therapy to deal with it. I was prescribed specific home exercises that led to the healing of my problem aches. My elbow has come back to full strength without pain, and my other aches have healed or are continuing to heal. Yes, amazing... especially when I faithfully do the stretches and exercises they prescribe. I am very thankful to have come to know them and to receive the professional, personal, and helpful care...
