I just started learning about Thai food a few years ago. I eat Gluten Free and Chinese food never quite catered to my allergy. Thai food has many delicious options.
I’ve ordered from Vientiane a few times now. I will go over my experience today.
Unfortunately for my household COVID has run its course. No one felt like cooking so Thai food it was!
My family are partial to Chinese but I convinced them to give it a try.
My order came about 45 minutes after placed with door dash. I had spent just over $100 with all the fees etc.
Upon delivery I noticed only 2 items had arrived (6 were ordered). I called the restaurant and they apologized as an error in their system only showed 2 of the 6 so only 2 were sent.
Upon discussing it with a very nice lady (I forget her name) and explaining we currently can’t pick up because of COVID, nor want a refund as my family were hungry.
She found a solution to utilize door dash delivery services. Place another order (small rice) and my food could be delivered with that new order, as well as a free-bie for the mistake.
My other food came within 45-50 minutes and was hot and delicious. While one of the family members sense of taste is still slow to return, the rest enjoyed it.
So I want to thank the restaurant for the delicious food and will continue to order from Vientiane.
Also there was much more food but I didn’t get at many photos. Sorry eaten.

The chicken in the soup was over cooked and dry though. I just avoided the chicken. The pad peanut sauce dish we ordered with beef (additional $1) had a great sauce but again the beef seemed over cooked. The rice roll was fine. Msg is added to the food so you need to ask for no msg if you don't want it. They said they add it but it's just a touch. Rice is an additional $1.99 We also ordered a pineapple slush. The first one was under ripe... It tasted green lacking sugar. Second one was better.
If I came again I would do vegetarian dishes. The additional cost of meat may be nominal but I just didn't prefer it. The sauces are good and the prices are decent. The decor is very red but it looks like it's been here awhile as it could use another paint job with a lot of paint worn. Seats are comfortable , tables spaced out...

The waiter said something like they could use veggie broth, but the flavor just wouldn't be good enough, so they don't... The waiter said he could do the rice rolls vegan for me, so I appreciated that. Potentially, the Papaya or Mango salads should be safe, but I'm not sure. The waiter was apologetic. Unfortunately, I probably won't be back. I guess there was a miscommunication in my earlier visit. I hope the restaurant considers more vegan options in future. //
Initial review: My partner and I were really impressed! The curry soup was magical. Although things aren't marked vegan in the menu, many of the menu items can be easily modified, and our waiter knew what to do. I also loved that the menu was easy to navigate, with clear...
