Excellent food! We used to go to clay oven years ago but quality had gone down a little in our opinion and prices had gone up significantly over several years. We switched to Cilantro’s they’re so much closer to where we live, prices are much better and flavors were/are out of this world. Today, I decided to check reviews and found that Shahi Flames reviews were right up there! Wife was leary to try but gave me the green light. So, we had veg pakora. They were a bit dark slightly over fried but the flavor was really good. Butter chicken was nicely spiced, (I don’t eat meat) and wife commented chicken was a bit dry. But I thought the sauce was great when I tried it. We also had Aloo Gobi which was fantastic. The Shahi paneer was awesome, and finally the Navartan Korma consistency was slightly different from what we have had in the past but the flavors were spot on. I’m giving 5 stars because the flavors were excellent. If an item or two aren’t perfect, neither is my life but I still think I live an excellent life. The fellow that took my order and I believe the same one that got my order was very courteous. The aromas in the restaurant are out of this world. What a Delightful sensory treat! We will definitely order from here again.
Update! We’ve always ordered from Shahi Flames to go. Today we had some time to kill and decided to eat in. Our hostess was fabulous (although heavy accent and we had to ask her a number of times to repeat something) The food was fabulous as always, and there was plenty to take home. Shahi Flames continues to rank as our number 1 or 2 restaurant for Indian food- just depends on where in town we are when we decide it’s time to eat. Bravo...
Read moreMost recent review - Had Shahi Flames a couple of months ago and the food was nowhere near how it has always been. As a result we had not returned until recently to give it another try. I wonder if the restaurant is under new ownership? The dinner entrees only came with 1 small container of basmati rice per entree which was not enough to go with the full meal. Also the mozza naan which has always been amazing was totally different in taste and texture. Even the shape of the naan was not the usual, instead was a small round naan. Overall was not the Shahi experience I'm used to.
Previous review 2 years ago 5 stars - Tried Shahi Flames for the first time this past week and was totally impressed. I've been searching all over for pudina chicken and Shahi's mint chicken is the next best thing. It was full of flavor and spice! We had also tried the traditional chicken curry, the paneer lababdar, veggie biryani and of course the mozza naan. All the dishes were outstanding and did not taste the same same, as I've experienced in other places. Each dish had its own unique flavor. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant which has become my #1 place to go for Indian food!!...
Read moreI recently visited Shahi Flames and was impressed by the overall experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a great atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The hospitality was exceptional—staff were attentive and made sure i was comfortable throughout.
For appetizers, I tried the Chat Papari, which was absolutely delicious. The texture of the chickpeas was perfect, the balance of acidity was spot-on, and the wafers were fresh and crispy, adding a nice crunch to the dish.
For the main course, I had the Chicken Biryani. The aroma was exactly what you’d hope for in a good biryani, and the chicken was fresh. However, the flavor of the chicken itself was somewhat lacking—it felt as though it had been mixed with the rice just before serving, which might explain why the spices hadn’t fully integrated. That said, the plating was excellent and visually appealing.
Overall, it was a great dining experience with only minor areas for improvement. I would definitely recommend Shahi Flames for its ambiance, service,...
