Just a few yards at the entrance , at the left turn, there is a cascade of water along some concrete steps. Next to it is the dry stair case that one can walk up to a hiking trail. There are about 50 steps. Once reached the trail ,it is all flat easy walk along the catchment- named Lo Fu Shan catch water. It is not a popular trail, but for the 4 km trail it can have views of the Red Hill estate, Turtle cove, The Manhattan, American Club, Country Club, the Stanley Main beach. The trail is quite narrow and at time it crosses several streams, meaning one has to be cautious when negotiating these overhanging bridges of only two-three feet wide! At the end of trail, there are a few steep steps down meeting the Stanley Gap road.
