I loved Nanjing. Somehow this New Yorkesque size city gets left off the must visit list in China. I was humbled by this museum as I had no idea of the extent of the gravity of the 1937 invasion of Nanjing by the Japanese prior to visiting this museum. The museum is extremely personal and graphic showing the devastation of not just a city but human beings - I spent almost a whole day coming to terms with a devastation that took over 300,000 lives in 6 weeks - you will never forget this place!

I visited this place during July 2017. It was too hot. But the place is worth a visit. This tells about the massacre of the innocent Chinese. There will be some idols outside and there will be some portraits inside to tell us about the impact of the invasion. You can spend up to 2 hours here.
