I'm not celebrating an evil man, but it seemed an obligatory thing to do in Medellin. A very divisive figure with the locals. Most people here know someone who died at his hand, but there were also many he saved from poverty and continue to live in the houses he built for them. A small part of me has a little respect for him because he came from nothing, and rose to take on the world. However, he did unspeakable things and dragged Colombia through the mud, living off people's misery around the world, so he wont be missed. Fascinating life story all the same.
