This was the best horseback riding experience of my life and was even better than the one I did 20 years ago it was a little over an hour drive from the Arenal area but by far worth it and excellent value! The owner David is mild-mannered and speaks good English has eight horses that are extremely well-trained. He generally has two different tours 1 through the mountains and rainforest and the other down to the Rio Celeste I did both for 3 hours each is an hour and a half if you are do only one of them go for the Rio Celeste tour cuz it has a little bit of both the trails are off the Beaten Track and somewhat challenging for the horses but they're strong and do it all the time his prices are amazing at $25 us for each tour. The views are breathtaking and he supplies rain gear in the event that it rains. Ask him to see and show you his two parrots which is really proud of.

David also has accommodation cabins for around $30 a day and a cute little restaurant in the space...

We booked a tour but then got lost on our way from La Fortuna and were going to miss it. David was very understanding and let me re-schedule to another day. He even came and greeted us and made sure all was good while getting us set up with the horses. Although we didn’t book a private tour, we got lucky and it was just our family and Hector, the guide. We had a great time. Hector was very friendly, helpful with our kids (4 and 7, first timers horseback riding) and seemed like he knew the horses and the route well. Excellent adventure! I made a mistake when I bought our tickets online and chose the wrong date. David was so gracious about my error. He took us on the horseback tour anyway with a smile and showed us such a wonderful experience. He is funny and so good with his horses. Team Powers loved it. Howler monkeys above our heads in Rio Celeste while we swam. A baby actually fell out of the branches into the water while we were there. David was quick to run to its rescue.
