Madkassen — Local services in Aalborg Municipality

Chef Peter of Madkassen made a trip to our feriehuset in Lonstrup to serve up an incredible 5 course menu. From start to finish we were presented with extremely well thought out dishes, ingredients of the highest standard and combinations that were both surprising and extremely delicious. The menu represented both the sea and land of Denmark perfectly. Trout and salmon as little starters, potato with truffles and gammel knas in between, and a Angus roast cooked to perfection. For the desert we were served a delicious fruit tartelette with seasonal danish fruit!! The entire menu was simply perfect. Absolutely delicious smørrebrød, friendly staff too! It’s takeaway only, and has the perfect location to grab some smørrebrød (that are each carefully made right in front of you) and take it to the Østre Anlæg park for a meal with a view! We saw him making another open sandwich with potatoes and raspberries, and they have many daring flavors as well, wish we had more time in the city to try them all!!
