don't reccomend this for anybody especially family with young children. you are sold this excursion as a exploration of the desert on quad bikes or buggys thats not the reality. very short rides on both close to the starting point of excursion and stop for 10 mins of that taking pictures of you in the buggy. you then take a none air condition ride across into a valley (best part to be honest) in a 4x4 to a local village which is a lie its self as they dont live there its there just to get money off the tourists one or two huts but a fair few camels to ride. the whole trip from start to finish you are pounded on the empty your pockets one after another and another and if you don't buy anything there pretty aggressive about it. The excursion is not for the teaching or exploring of the desert its purely about how much money they can make you part with at every moment. oh and don't ask the tour guys any questions about anything as they just tell you to be patient over an over aggressively but then never actually answer your questions anyways. There not interested. these places make a lot of money already from the excursion bookings personally wouldn't reccomend for anyone as there was no smiling at the end of it. please make your own opinion this is only my advise as every other excursion we did as a family was beyond amazing and very unique...
Read moreWe bought this trip from travel agency and they didn't fulfil their promises. No sunset in Sahara (spend sunset waiting for bugy and didn't even see it). No stars watching at all.
Camel ride, was max 2min long, so it was fake,no camel riding in sahara. We expect 10mins minimum and ride somewhere not circle in village.
Typical barbecue was 2 pieces of grilled chicken, with salad bufet. And minizoo is on the edge of maltreatment with animals. So small space for them (minizoo == terarium). I would rather close it and put the animals in proper a zoo.
Bugys and quads were ok, but as mentioned instead of sunset we were waiting for bugys and we were riding then in the dark with lights on, on the other hand no big deal, there was nothing to see from bugys almost the same track as with quads.
Night show was also really nice, especially the fact they sell you coke, because no drinks are free and 5 minutes later they open diner with free Pepsi ;-) that's a business. it was promised free non-alcoholic drinks == one 0,2l coke, no water or any other drink.
This could be much better trip if they focus on the smaller amount of things and do them properly. Do not promise everything, it won't help. And try to include things which should be in price of the trip, e.g. protective glasses == 2 more dollars really? Don't worry normal ones...
Read moreNot that great. They work with Thomas Cook. They pick you up at tour hotel and take you to this place close to the highway and some power lines. That’s the “desert” where you’ll ride the quads and buggy. Not that mesmerizing considering you can see trucks and buildings. After that they took us to the bedouin village, that’s very fake and staged for tourists. The mountains are nice. You get to ride a camel around while the guy takes pictures with your phone. After that (despite being told that we’ll get to see the sunset in the desert) they take you back to their station, where you get dinner and a show with some dancers who clearly didn’t want to be there. Throughout the day they’ll try to sell you stuff, the scarf, goggles, sand souvenirs, pictures... and the dvd. We got the dvd (€25) that included pictures, a film of our groups day, the show we saw and a documentary about egypt. The pictures were of terrible quality (600px) que mostly of the landscape, we’re not in any. Maybe because THE EXIF DATA SAYS THEY’RE FROM 2010. The show is meh and probably pre-recorded, the documentary is just something ripped from the 90s and our film... was empty. It’s a...
