"An Unforgettable Desert Experience in Hurghada"
If you're planning a trip to Hurghada, this desert tour is an absolute must. It was truly one of the most memorable days of my journey.
One of the best parts was the convenience — they offered pickup and drop-off service directly from my hotel, so all I had to do was bring some light clothing to protect myself from the sun, and a sense of excitement.
The adventure started with quad biking and ATV riding through the vast, open desert. The thrill of speeding across the sand with nothing but dunes around you was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Then we jumped into a Jeep safari, racing through rugged desert mountains — the real off-road adventure began here.
Eventually, we arrived at a traditional Bedouin village, where we had the chance to ride camels and experience the desert from a slower, more peaceful pace. Getting a glimpse into the daily lives of the Bedouin people made the experience even more meaningful and authentic.
A special mention goes to my guide, TITO, who made this trip truly unforgettable. As a solo traveler, I felt so well taken care of. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and provided insightful information about the desert and Bedouin culture. Thanks to TITO’s thoughtful guidance, I was able to understand and appreciate the desert in a much deeper way.
To top it all off, we enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner under the stars, complete with local performances and a cozy campfire. Dining in the heart of the desert with a sky full of stars — it’s a moment I’ll treasure forever.
If you’re visiting Hurghada, don’t miss this desert tour. Every moment is special, and it will add a unique and magical memory...
Read moreWould give a lower rating if possible for this Quad and Buggy Safari tour. The day starts with a hotel pickup and a 30-minute drive to the Desert Road camp, only to be told you need to purchase a scarf and hire goggles, which were previously included in the other quad and buggy tours.
🤬 After an hour's wait, the slow Quad bike procession begins, with constant stops for the photographer 📸 to take pointless pictures.
Back at camp, there's another hour's wait before the buggy segment. The buggies' poor quality speaks volumes. During the buggy ride, one broke down, reducing our time to a mere 15 minutes. This was followed by a barbecue and a rough ride in a Land Cruiser to a Bedouin encampment for camel rides and reptile handling, with the obligatory walk through a shop and more photos 📸.
The worst was the 1hr 40 mins wait for a show, initially promised to be just 15 minutes. By then, my group was eager to leave. The request for tips at the end was the final straw .
As a frequent traveler, I understand the need for businesses to make a living. I've enjoyed other tours in Hurghada but I regret spending my money with Desert Road on this poorly organized, unsafe experience that treats tourists like commodities.
Relayed this information to the owner when he asked but he didn't seem that bothered after all he already had my money.
😒😒*...
Read moreThe desert safari itself was decent — most of the activities were enjoyable. However, our experience was overshadowed by the guide Ahmed, who was impatient, unfair, and quite rude.
While queueing for the buggy, Ahmed stopped us and let us wait more than half an hour even though we were the first in the queue because “there were not enough cars”. After the other guests came back and started dinner, we finally got into the buggy. After our ride Ahmed pushed us to finish dinner earlier because “the other guests already finished”.
I like the idea that the company offered the opportunity to give feedback about the experience by asking everyone to fill a form. But Ahmed wasn’t happy about us taking some more time to complete it. He even tried to bring other guests to laugh at us about it.
It made the overall experience less enjoyable. With a better guide, this could have been much...
