Lidl — Local services in Loches

The fruits and vegetables here are really fresh and there is a reasonably large variety. I have found special toothpicks for less than half the price I pay elsewhere, I have also found a Nordic body cream at a hugely reduced price on sale. The only time I drink beer is at Xmas, Danes drink a non alcoholic Xmas beer and I wish I could find that but Lidl has special Xmas beer I found last year and then again this year which is excellent. The fruits and vegetables are great. The prices are very affordable. But (and this may be our fault for buying it) DO NOT buy the wine - it is undrinkable. We are not picky about wines and enjoy all varieties in all reasonable price ranges. I thought that in France, even a 10 Euro bottle of wine should be serviceable (like a house red). Was I wrong. Ever tasted the bottom shelf vodka / tequila equivalent of wine? That is what wine from here tastes like. We got two different bottles of Cote du Rhône and a Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon and...

Je suis à une semaine d'accoucher, autant dire que mon ventre se voit... cela fait plusieurs semaines que, quand je viens faire mes courses, aucun autre client ne me propose jamais de passer avant lui. Comme cela me gêne de le demander, je fais la queue. Or à chaque fois les agents de caisse me regardent, voient ma grossesse... et ne disent rien. Aujourd'hui la dame qui était derrière moi dans la queue a gentiment demandé à la caissière "cette dame est enceinte, pouvez-vous la laisser passer" et la caissière a repondu "oui ben je ne peux pas me dédoubler!"
