I went to public women sauna aka banya for 15GEL. My room was #1. I don't recommend to go here to anyone who cares about their hygiene.
Pros: There is no time limit.
Cons: There was no sauna or banya! There was only a small pool with hot water available. There are no lockers to keep your things save. No area to change. There were 4 wooden chairs in the resting room but they were all occupied since we had 8 women in our room. The room was overcrowded. The staff initially said 4 ladies per room was the limit. We had double that. The toilet door was broken and couldn't be closed. The shower sanitary ware looked AWFUL like no one cleaned them ever. The door was broken and you could hardly open and close it. The shower water smelled like rotten eggs. I got massage for extra 10GEL and it was a mistake! A woman came to aggressively wash my body with rusty old smelling washcloth and a piece of old soap. It's not a massage, it's a wash! And I am 100% sure that the washcloth has been used on other people before many many times. It definitely not worth your money. If you're a lady, she WILL take off your bra to wash you aggressively in front of all the other ladies who will be watching you from the...
Read moreUpdate: I have been visiting the public sauna here almost every week for the past two years. While it’s not the nicest or most aesthetic place it’s simple and nice and the price is ok. But this evening the owner/ manager came into the sauna yelling at us to get out that the time was up. (It was still 10 minutes till closing(the public room closes at 9:00 🙄) we come out and check the time and I tell him there is still ten minutes, I am speaking with him in Georgian but he keeps yelling at me in Russian, even though I don’t speak russian.. I’m very disappointed in the customer service.. I’ve always tried to be polite and speak with them in Georgian but the staff all just seem very grumpy or angry all the time.. Definitely going to think about going somewhere else..
Great Sauna / Banya. The mens public room has a large sauna, cold pool, hot pool, and...
Read moreVery unfriendly and moody stuff( Women bath should be open till 14:00 and when i arrived at 13:00 (i wanted to go there for an hour, made my plans accordingly, etc.) it was closed) because of reservations. No announcement about it anywhere. No apologies or anything because of inconvenience) also I don’t like the fact that womens bath doesn’t have sauna but men’s do, also women’s is till 14:00 and mens till 21:00, Sunday women’s doesnt work but men’s do. Bath is just hot water i feel like, it’s not sulfur bath i think.. it’s pretty different from the one in old tbilisi (had much better experience there). Overally I wouldn’t recommend this one to someone who wants to have good experience with sulfur...
