Studierendenwohnheim KaWo1 — Local services in Aachen

Kawo1 is one of the student dorms (possibly the oldest dorm among the ones on Kastanienweg) of RWTH Aachen. The buildings are well maintained, with cheap rents. The rooms are small but cozy and comfortable. The kawo bars are amazing places to meet people, play a game of foosball or pool, and if you're lucky enough; free beer! However, the internet is not up to speed and the Netzwerkgruppe's staff take too long to respond. The Informatik dept. of RWTH Aachen is nearby on a 10 mins walk. Also Campus Melaten and its facilities are nearby as well.

One of the best student dorms in Aachen. If you wish to live for less rent and yet have a life, this is a very good place. It’s a little difficult to get this dorm but if you do get it, you’re going to have a lot of fun. Sauna, TT, parties on Friday evenings, washing machines, printer, volleyball, and a gym are available. These might not be of high quality but they definitely are not too bad. WiFi isn’t great but the LAN connection is the best. One can definitely have a lot of fun...
