Jenner — Local services in Schönau am Königssee

The Jennerbahn cable car is a comfortable way to reach the upper sections of Jenner Mountain. It has two sections:

Lower Station to Middle Station (Jennerbahn Mittelstation): Located near Schönau am Königssee, this section takes you to an altitude of about 1,200 meters.

Alternatively, you can hike from Königssee to the Middle Station • Difficulty: Moderate • Distance: 8 km (one way) • Elevation Gain: 850 meters This trail starts near the shores of Königssee and ascends through forests and alpine meadows to the middle station of the Jennerbahn cable car.

Middle Station to Upper Station (Jennerbahn Bergstation): The upper section continues to the summit area, offering easy access to the hiking trails and panoramic viewpoints.

We used to come here for skiing all my childhood. It used to be faster, more efficient. Cabins are for more people now, however it stops earlier in the end (15:40 instead of 16:00)service in restaurants (that are now posh compare too previous cute traditional and fast ones) is very slow. It takes you time from skiing. Its a huge shame as i i love this mountain. There is so many amazing skiing trails. This year the weather is bad and there is not enough snow, which is nobody's fault. So few skiing trails are working tho. And the not working ones dont even have a good signs! Dissapointed, ironically after they recreated the whole areal for...

Я видел их в Австрии, но только на горизонте 🏔 Тогда они поразили меня настолько, что я пообещал себе подняться однажды на одну из вершин этих гор и, буквально 2 недели назад, мне посчастливилось сделать это, правда, с немецкой стороны.

Мне не с чем сравнивать, так как я был только на Урале, где нет таких массивов и, естественно, высот. Но то, насколько вид с Jenner отпечатлился в моей памяти, как бы банально не звучало, сложно описать словами. Открывающиеся после восхождения «картины» Watzmann‘a, самого озера и прилегающих деревушек притягивают внимание и не отпускают. На данной вершине можно пробыть очень долгои, к счастью, в такие моменты время замедляется. Надеюсь, у вас будет возможность взобраться на эту или другие вершины близ Königssee, насладиться отличным видом, и, конечно, пройти отличный маршрут в обе стороны ;)

My first peak in Germany, after which I fell in love with the Alps.

I had seen them in Austria, but only on the horizon 🏔 Then they struck me so much that I promised myself to climb one day one of the peaks of these mountains and, just 2 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to do it, though from the German side.

I have nothing to compare it with, as I have only been to the Urals, where there are no such massifs and, of course, heights. But the extent to which the view from Jenner imprinted in my memory, as trite as it may sound, it is difficult to describe in words. Opening after the ascent "pictures" Watzmann'a, the lake itself and the surrounding villages attract attention and do not let go. On this summit you can stay very long and, fortunately, time slows down at such moments. I hope you will have the opportunity to climb this or other peaks near Königssee, enjoy a great view, and of course take a great route...
