How do I even describe this experience, except to say it was one of the best days of my life? Nikos is kind, encouraging, effortlessly charming, a great teacher, local guide, and storyteller. Right off the bat he showed us how to help with the ship, just little things that made us feel involved and were fun to learn. (Eventually my companion and I both got to steer for as long as we wanted!) He gave us an itinerary that changed our entire travel plan, and everywhere he suggested turned out to be a hidden gem. Don't miss this opportunity to get great advice for your stay on Crete! The place Nikos took us to swim were the most beautiful I've seen in decades of travel. Sapphire and teal waters so clear you can't believe the depth. And the meal he cooked us!! The traditional snacks and treats were lovely and the lunch--salads with all organic vegetables perfectly in season, pasta with mozzarella fresh from the farmers' market, basil (so fresh and delicious it ruined all other basil for me) from Nikos's own garden, meatballs in freshly chopped and stewed tomato sauce prepared while we splashed in the Aegean, topped with mint and more fresh cheeses... Sharing a truly perfect meal on the sea in the breeze and sun? A memory I'll return to time and time again. Today we had an excellent experience with Nikos and his son Alex! Nikos and his son are very friendly and a pleasure to be around, Nikos was knowledgeable and shared interesting information about the landmarks that we were passing and also taught some of us to steer the boat while sailing! Nikos brought us to the most beautiful areas, the water was a beautiful turquoise blue and we saw some jellyfish as we were passing through! We decided to bring our own salad materials and snacks, but Nikos was so kind and helped prepare everything and even added in some nice baklava and other small food items. He is so generous! We got to snorkel, swim, and relax in the sun for several hours while having peace of mind😊 We hope to visit again and see Nikos and Alex! Please book a sailing trip with them, you won’t regret...

My husband and I have traveled extensively but I must say that this sail trip is definitely a highlight. Nikos the Captain and Alex went above and beyond to insure the most incredible experience. The sailboat was wonderful with all the accommodations needed. Every stop we made along the way was private the swimming in turquoise waters took our breath away. My only sadness was I didn’t want it to be over. I mentioned to Nikos in correspondence that I don’t eat meat so the most delicious lunch set before us was beautifully prepared salmon, vegetables, potatoes.
