The Museum of Delphi offers a fascinating journey through ancient Greek history, housing treasures from the Sanctuary of Apollo and the Oracle of Delphi. Its impressive collection includes the famous Charioteer statue, the Sphinx of Naxos, and intricate friezes that showcase Greek art and mythology. Each exhibit is well-organized, with detailed explanations in English and Greek, making it easy to follow the historical context. The museum is well-maintained, and the scenic location near Mount Parnassus adds to the experience. A must-visit for...

I could spend the entire day at Delos. Unfortunately they will not let you. While not quite as fascinating as the rest of the island's collection of ruins, this museum is small and seems to spill out onto the lawn in a kind of relaxed fashion (cats wind their way through the items placed next to the wall at the front of the museum). My daughter loved playing with the 15-16 cats outside the museum! I didn't feel hurried or unable to study any of the exhibits -and...

Visited Delos island on my honeymoon with my wife. It was great to see all the historic archeology sites and architecture! We were glad the museum was open (went on August 9, 2024) since it seemed to be closed for repairs for quite a while. Definitely recommend buying tickets online ahead of time. We got a package that included the ferry from Mykonos, a guided tour (in English), and access to the museum for a very...

Delos!!! There where Leto gave birth to the twins! Artemis and Apollo!!! Leto or Letho i.e. forgetfulness. Letho (the darkness) that gave birth to the twilight, Moon, Artemis and the dazzling Light, Sun, Apollo!!! In Ancient Greece it was the most important island. The alliance of Delos where the representatives of the city-states met in the sanctuary of Apollo for their expeditions against the enemies!
