Kamiros Beach — Local services in Municipality of Rhodes

This is a very nice beach located about 45 mins drive south of Rhodes Town, on the west side of the island. There are several beaches closer to Rhodes on this side of the island, Ialyssos, Kremnasti, Theologous etc but Kamiros has a much nicer outlook and it has sand so it is worth the extra few miles to reach here imo.

It is quiet. There are a few people about but compared with the tourist beaches on the east side of the island, it is much more relaxed.

Sunbeds at the Antico are €20 for two, which is about the going rate. I read somewhere that it was €10 for two, but maybe that is old news or out of season? There is plenty of sand and space to sit if you dont fancy a bed.

The water is clear and clean, with a gentle swell to make it a bit more interesting and atmospheric...if i close my eyes, i could be anywhere, and it turns out, i am.

The taverna serves food, fairly typical fare, several people are seated...

Such a nice beach, worth the drive out on this coastline. Not crowded, easy parking, sunbeds available at reasonable price of €10 for two, great service, and food lovely at Old Kamiros taverna. The water here is clear and blue & it’s a safe little beach - was wonderful swimming! It’s a little bit pebbly as you walk into the sea, but once you get in the water the sand is soft underfoot. This beach is much much nicer than Lindos beach! (We went to Lindos beach the day before, it was overcrowded, hard to find parking, expensive, and water was murky brown the day...

The beach isn't very beautiful but there are showers and a pretty expensive restaurant on the beach. The beds are free if you order a very expensive drink from your sunbed. Near the beach there are stones wich are pretty painful but when you swim past them you have some water whitout the stones. It takes a long time before you reach some deeper water but it depens if you think that's a good or...
