Porto Antico — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

This restaurant is one of the few which are located right next to the Archeological Site of Kameiros. It’s got a large car park and inviting grounds. There are loungers and parasols on the beach around the restaurant part which are also managed by the restaurant.

After we arrived, we were greeted and shown to a table. There were many members of staff who moved around all the time to check on the tables and the loungers. One particular member of staff kept walking past our table to check if anyone had started to use the aforementioned loungers which was quite intense as it was constant walking back and forth.

The food is definitely overpriced here which was expected.

I ordered pasta which was ok but nothing special. Towards finishing my meal, I chewed on a small piece of metal, which looked like a piece of a metal sponge/scourer. Since I had mostly eaten all of the pasta by then, I discreetly mentioned the unexpected find when the plates were being cleared off the table just to let the kitchen know as feedback.

The member of staff just took my plate and went away. We could see that this member of staff was talking to other staff and staring back at our table. There was no further acknowledgment about what had happened from this member of staff or anyone else. We asked for the bill and then waited about 10 minutes or so to actually pay as nobody would approach the table anymore. We did pay the full amount.

Overall, would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing place to have a meal or drink as you definitely won’t get that here. The friendly facade crumbles quickly when things don’t go according to the rehearsed script to reveal the true nature...

We had a bad customer service experience at the restaurant next door, so we decided to come here instead.

The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a big smile. We got to choose our table and the waitress gave us enough time to explore the menu.

Menu had many options: seafood, different kinds of meat and even food for vegetarians and vegans! Our waitress recommended a lot according to our taste. She asked us how we would like our food to be cooked (grilled, oven etc.) which was a big plus! Food was really good and portions were big enough.

We told our waitress about the service we had next door and she felt sorry for us. She wanted to make it up and gave us free desserts and a souvenir magnet for our fridge (even though it was not her fault).

This place also looks stunning. This restaurant has a beach! They serve you food and drinks there as well, you don’t even have to get up.

This place is a little bit on the pricey side, but free sunbeds and excellent service make up for it. You could easily spend your entire day here.

Skip the restaurant next door like we did. Go enjoy good food and...

My worst dining experience ever. They where "out of" most menu items and the food was horrible and overpriced.

Do not trust the advice of the staff. We ordered 6 dishes and the fish tasted old and my chicken was dry and way too salty. The staff turned hostile when we complained and they tried to charge us 50euro on top of what we actually ordered.

Worst dining experience I've ever had, as mentioned. More people working there than guests. We had 6 different people waiting our table. They managed to get most of our orders wrong. Food came at different time. 15minutes between.

The drinks never arrived and we got double charged for them when we ordered new. Cola was watered down and flat. They have a big wasp problem. You constantly had to fight them away and worry about getting stinged.
